Description
This is my most complicated Photoshop piece to date, with over 7,700 layers and a total file size of 2.2GB.
I've been receiving a lot of questions about how I manage 7000+ layers, so here's a bit of background: 7700 is the total number of layers if you add them all up from the many documents that comprise the final piece. The way I approached it is by creating the pieces individually and saving them into separate canvas groups, then importing each component as flattened graphics into the final canvas. By doing this I was able to keep the master file down to about 800 layers. If I had kept all the layers intact for each itty bitty component, I would have had to manage the 7700 layers in one canvas, which would probably have melted my computer.
