Mass Effect Pathways: Chapter 14
4/20/2210
Shepard's footsteps echoed as he sprinted down the dark hallway, his armor clattering as he ran. The screams of pain and terror behind him drawing closer and closer with every passing moment, gaining on him no matter how hard he pushed himself to run faster.
Suddenly he lost his footing and fell forward, the ground before him fading away as he fell. He tumbled through the darkness before striking the ground. Opening his eyes, he found himself in a large room of twisted shapes of machinery. His armor was now cracked, fresh blood caking much of the suit. Shadowy shapes closed in around him, encircling him with no hope of escape.

Chapter 2
All Shepard could feel was pain. His hands were burnt; the armor on his body was melted, seared to his flesh. He could smell only his own roasting meat, as he ran through an ashen forest. Flakes of soot fell from a dull gray sky, as he searched for the source of the screaming…
He’d been in this forest before, countless times before, it seemed. Yet, somehow, Shepard couldn’t find his way, fumbling about in despair…where was that voice coming from? Where was the girl crying out his name?
As he crested a hill, Shepard caught sight of a young girl, no more than six years of age. She looked so famili

Chapter 21 - Derrin
Derrin Shepard shook his head as he watched the battle outside the Saxon’s bulkheads. So far, the ship had remained undetected, while Aria’s forces waged war against turian security forces (under the control of “Councilor Sparatus”). To further confuse matters, the asari matriarchs had sent reinforcements…but to help Aria’s mercenaries. Tevos had decried their actions, but her forces were tied up holding the sectors beyond the Mu Relay…protecting Ilos…for now.
“Meanwhile,” whispered Derrin, “I sneak around like a coward, while the galaxy burns around me

Chapter 13: Kyrik's Gambit Garrus strolled along the coins towards what looked to be Kyrik’s old ship, the Reaper and he leapt onboard all while hearing Legion chirp and its gears whirling as though it was desperately trying to remember something important. Garrus was in awe that the infamous ship remained this well preserved. Its sails on the other hand were tattered but looked like they were operable. He leaned over the railing and gripped the geth’s wrist before hauling it on to the ship when he spotted a shadow sitting upon a decorated throne. It wore familiar attire and when one of the cannons fired another strange beam of energy into a waiting port, Garrus finally recognized the figure. Or rather the skeleton. “Captain Kyrik?!” Legion whined in alarm. “In the flesh... or what resembled flesh as he is clearly missing the skin, organs and such.” The young turian approached the figure all while vaguely listening to the geth ramble on about something he knew that Kyrik

Race against time
C-Sec headquarters was deserted when the team finally arrived. When they reached the Executor's office door the team took positions on each side of the door and, when they burst into the room, they found three corpses; one was turian and the other two were salarian. Shepard only recognized the turian, so he activated the communicator again and contacted Bailey, saying the Executor was dead and the councilor was missing.
"I wouldn't count him out yet. He's a slippery one," Bailey said before deactivating his communicator.
Shepard moved over to the window and looked out at the conference room below. At the end
