Made from supersculpey over a wire armature and painted in acrylics.

So this is what I was talking about in my last journals from ages ago. Lots to do on all of them still, but I managed to continue most of them after I bought new clay today - the biggest downside of the air drying stuff.

These are all my own designs/ characters.
1 - the big one in the background
Namir, in his "demon" form. The "story" he's from was based on a dream I had, but I never polished this thing. I still wanted to put this design into something tangible. He's not supposed to have 100% correct big cat anatomy, that's why it's looking a little off. Not too visible here probably, but especially the legs and paws look different.
2 - the cat on the left
Is going to be a half persian (inspired by my Puk). I need to chop off her front legs and reposition them.
3 - the thing in the front middle
is going to be a Qualat. Not sure if the front legs need repositioning, too. Also not sure yet if I'm going to make it one of my existing characters or a random one.
4 - the two small things on the right
are two cats. They are going to stay quite simple and will most likely be for sale once they're finished. I even already have a title for them!

Leatherhead

Found the new Leatherhead figure and wanted to give him an upgrade to his classics self. I added articulation to the wrists gave him a Hill Billy Jim hat and created him a vest. iused an original Lhead shotgun and a bowie knife from my fodder box.

One new paint job later and we got Leatherhead!

Fionna the Human From Adventure Time

The second project from my Sculpting Life Form class. For the second project I wanted to challenge myself so I picked Fionna, specifically her ripped dress outfit. I also got a kick that her dress design is an homage to Sailormoon. First time sculpting a pose and painting so it's a little rough. The ribbons were a challenge. My instructor suggested just using actual ribbon but I needed them to be made out of clay for added stability. I used wired mesh and laid clay over it.

Material: Aluminum wire and foil (Armature), Super Sculpey and Sculpey iii polymer clay, acrylic paint.

Just two sides to view of teeth I just got done sculpting and painted of Godzilla's jaws. Godzilla returns was playing on our DVD player while I did this. XD ;p
