Directions for making Maka's scythe
First, you will need: a very large piece of paper, preferably fairly thick; pink insulation foam (depending on how big you want your prop, the amount you'll need will vary) and a box cutter to cut it with; glue, a few kinds; sandpaper in various grits, files, etc.; something for the handle, such as a large dowel; Masonite for the detailing; and lots of paint (DO NOT use spray paint! It will melt your foam).
To start:
Take your big piece of paper and draw your scythe shape on it. You want this to be nice and clean and neat, since this will be your guide for cutting out the blade.
