A lake that was made bigger by a dam more than 80 years ago. At low waterlevel you still can see the trees that were growing then.

Hannes was brought to Olderdissen in january - and now he's already a daddy. I hoped to see them when I visited the park two days ago, but sadly there was not the tiniest sight of them, only Handsome-Hannes posed a bit. They have to be 5 weeks old by now ... Last time Olderdissen had lynx cubs was 21 years ago. So I really want to see those little lynx kitties!

This is an older shot from way back at the beginning of my stock photography / fantasy shooting. Please forgive the slight blurriness to this image, it was taken before I got my new light kit in 2009. Angela was a real angel to shoot with me and is now fast becoming a major force in body building and modeling!

Steps: Enjoying The Morning

Step by step progress for this painting: [link]

This time I didn't start with a usual grayscale sketch, but instead made an initial speed painting based on the complementary color palette which I had in mind. The greatest learning experience with this painting was to realize how soft the brushes I'm using are, and how overly soft the results become. Most of the brush strokes were not visible enough. Using an unsharp mask filter I was able to bring back that detail. Then the effect was slightly reverted in areas the are not near the focal points.
