Chapter 16 She could just tell it was not going to be a pleasant night anyway she looked at things. The rain that had started to fall a little before sunset had increased over the past hour and showed no signs of easing. 'If anything I suspect it will be getting heavier as the night progresses,' Alice sighed as she pulled the hood on her body glove over her blonde hair and tucked in the few stray strands that hung out. The vampire picked up a few things from the table next to the mirror before squirrelling them away in pouches sewn into her suit around her waist. She moved to the French doors, took a deep breath, opened them just a crack and slipped into the night, the smell of jungle rot and the feel of the oppressive humid air cloying at her senses. With the grace of a stocking jungle cat Alice moved along the pool area, behind the bar and down a winding series of uneven steps to the grounds of
