"Go."
Somewhere, Lysanna clawed at the shards of mirror, using the last of her strength to send the message. The words came to Tal'shen as needling pain, piercing her mind. "Forget them," her mother said. "Go now and do as I've created you to do!"
Tal'shen felt her mother die. It did not matter. There was no feeling of attachment; only the drive to carry out her purpose. Growing still, her monstrous form filled the room. She shot two massive tentacles upwards, rending a large hole in the ceiling. Outside, she blinked in the fog. London, that was the name of this city, wasn't it? A good a place as any to begin.
Inside, Maya coug

The scream reverberated through the room and Paul's memory. The thing that shared his body reeled back in surprise.
"You will die without my help!" It sneered.
Paul ignored the protests. He focused on the pain. The every present, burning pain. He screamed again, happy that he could feel himself more and more. He peered at Maya, who stared at him in wonderment.
"This has never…Paul..You're changing back!" her hand holding the wicked knife lowered.
Paul felt relieved at this. He could hear Tal'Shen's screaming but it was becoming quieter as he focused on his body. He could feel the tentacles starting to push out of him of their own accord.

We are Progeny"Breathe. . . " was the first word he had heard when the disjoint world came to a formless solitude, a blank existence. The voice was deep, inhuman but neutral, and though he would not trust it given the turn of events, he was grateful to have felt nothing rather then pain when he rose to his feet to see it; the source of the voice. We are Progeny6 months ago in Writing More Like This
"Who are you?!" Paul demanded with mistrust. The figure mirrored his looks with the exception of it being a dark silhouette.
"We are Progeny; the outcome of how you choose to end this."
"How I should choose?!" He snapped, throwing an angered point of accusation. "You've done nothing but throw me in nightmares!

Odyssey II - Chapter 7
Paul's scream is soundless, without vibration, boundless without borders. Heard by no one, reverberating through the psychic realm, a cascade of destruction. Both sisters battling within his very blood, phages using his cells as a playground and a battlefield tearing apart his very flesh.
"He has spirit after all. Welcome to our realm, Paul You will never leave this place." Tal'Shen voice is cold, diffident, indifferent.
"He only does what he must to survive Tal'Shen, you would mock him for that."
"His will means nothing, Maya. Our Mother must be served. The only question is how."

What is happening...
She never noticed the black, formless shadow appearing next to her until she heard the eyelids slide up violently, and rough hands reached out and pulled her out of the grey mist into darkness.
What is this... I have seen this before... it is so familiar and yet so different...
Something large and shapeless, flowing like a blood-covered sky, swam past and circled around her. Orbs of light blinked in and out of existence as a Voice echoed within her skull.
Give it to me! It is mine!
Her eyes danced from side to side, her head was splitting, sweat was drip

But my feet cant seem to reach the ground,
Because when you walk in the room,
It spells my inpending doom,
As my heart does a Sonic Boom,
Leaving me high as i race across the stary sky,
And i can not lie,
Id rather die,
Than go on without you....
Yes, its true,
As my vision fades to blue,
Id rather die, then be without you....

When We Touch It Creates A Steamy Haze
That Blocks My Vision In Several Ways
Feeling That This Is Just A Phase
I Should Tell You That Ive Felt Like This For Days
As I Wander Through This Endless Maze
You Are The Ice That Calms My Mind And Slows The Fire
Keeping Me From Doing Something Out Of Desire
And Not Telling You How I Feel Is Costing A Price
As The Fire You Entice Inside That Feels Kind Of Nice
Will Soon Devour Me Alive Even Though I Am Still Brand New
So I Have To Ask, Do you Like Me Too

Odyssey - Chapter 7 Is it over? From her mirror Lysanna watched her sister hack the tentacles and Paul internal struggle. And then it turned pure frustration and anger as Paul defeated her offspring.
"NO!" She cried.
And she smashed the mirror to pieces, her eyes smouldering.
Paul woke up to fin himself lying on the floor, which seemed to be drenched in which he assumed must be the tentacles' blood. The only reason he could assume that the green liquid was that was because he noticed some of his own blood mized within it.

Deep Blue Eyes of DoomOUT, Paul screamed.Deep Blue Eyes of Doom6 months ago in Writing More Like This
And just like that, Paul was out.
Out of body, out of mind, and out among the stars.
But the stars were replaced by endless streaks of light that came in an infinite rainbow of colors. But the longer he stared Paul began to hear the screams.
He was seeing the human race being replaced in a horrific display of severed skin, blood, and tentacles but still no explanation why.
Then he saw HER.
This thing looked like a corroded version of Maya with ash black hair, grey flesh with black veins pulsing venomously across the flesh, and eyes with a kind of blue that fit frozen corpses. It was convenient that it chose to look l

He stared.
What was he looking at? A mass of flesh twisted. Half of it was peach colored, stained scarlet. And the other half?
A monster.
Pulsating currents of gelatinous substance reflected a thousand colors, glowing eerily. Scales and thorns of grey curled like a ribcage, like a shield around itself. Its alien neon colors rippled with the thrashing of its tentacles. The other half was that. It did not feel like it was part of the sallow peach creature. That beast had an evil sort of grin to it. It was an uninvited stranger burning the house in which it stole into. It was a parasite. It wa

Shifting PiecesLysanna was crumpled in a pathetic heap on the dirty floor with just enough strength to hold the two mirror shards in front of her shriveled face. She was about to die, at least this part of her. Her spawn, Tal'shen, was at the very moment being birthed into the realm of humans. There was only one thing left to do; she exhaled heavily onto the shards, fogging them over. As the moist remnants of Lysanna evaporated on the mirror, so did her husk of a body. She crossed over, through the mirror, until she found the rest of her; mother and child one at last.Shifting Pieces6 months ago in Writing More Like This

To become somethingHe kept screaming, despite knowing it was a fruitless effort of clinging to life, to his humanity. Paul’s mind was clouded by Tal’Shen’s thoughts, leaving little room for his own. He fought back, rebelling against the parasite, but it was useless, for Tal’Shen was stronger. To become something6 months ago in Writing More Like This
He then realized survival was out of reach...
He oddly felt comforted by this thought. Accepting the fact that death was a better option than becoming an empty shell under the command of another, he released his mind from Tal’Shen, falling into oblivion...
If this was dying, he thought, it isn’t bad.
The pain disappeared...memories returned. His name was Paul and somehow...he was alive. Where he was, he didn't know, but he had to be “somewhere” if he was aware of his existence. It was a surreal feeling...being nothing yet existing somewhere in the pressing darkness...
An orb appeared, its surface swirling with different colors. It pulsated feebly, its light weak.

Chapter 7: BirthrightsWaves of heavy rain hammered against the walls of the ruined Battersea power station, an ice cold wind twisted its way around the rusted iron frame work and a malignant darkness blanketed all.Chapter 7: Birthrights6 months ago in Writing More Like This
The children of the abyss moved slowly, surrounding the derelict building. Thick rubbery tentacles flopped out and writhed against the ground dragging their bloated bodies closer and closer. Out of drains and along water pipes they came. Up and across walls they moved sucking and groping. Through broken windows and down tight corridors they squeezed their bulks, converging on a room deep in the basement.
Maya's hands were shaking; she was terrif

Soft, warm blackness.
There was very little light, in fact, there were only three faintly pulsing masses of rainbow colour slowly glowing in the all-encompassing darkness.

It didn't matter. There were fragments of dull colour and swatches of vivid images that bled into his field of vision, but they were ignored.
It was comfortable, and he relaxed into its embrace.
The broiling colours in front of him grew more and more distinct. There was a dark green hole in the blackness that reached towards him with greedy, clawing tendrils. Next to it, a larger dark and sickening purple slowly bled i

Odyssey II: Chapter 7 - Shared Intelligence
Paul was vomited out in a particularly violent spasm.
Nothing more than a brown, green, gray swirling mass of fluid and gunk on a dirty floor, Paul moved on pure instinct. Still confused, he moved slowly, oozing toward the nearest heart source and beating heart.
Maya continued hacking at Paul's former body, unaware of the organism slipping over the patent leather of her boot until it was sliding through her sock and skin.
Her exertion caused her body to absorb Paul quickly and within moments she carried her own flashing multi-colored scales. Inside, two minds – both foreign to the human body th

Birds of a FeatherTal'shen managed to knock the weapon out of Maya's hand with one of the human's mangled arms. The dazzling scales rapidly formed up Paul's—no, Tal'shen's—face. The sacs that had popped on Paul's shoulders were now slowly reforming to create more tentacles. The remaining hand now had sharp talons that it used to swipe at Maya. Tal'shen retaliated, screaming at Maya's sickening face. I will have his body! I will have his blood! He screeched in defiance, maw agape and optics narrowed and ablaze with anger.
"You want nothing but power!" Maya pressed harder, aiming a percussive blow into Paul's warped form, a sickening bellow escaping his gaping jaws as he obtained the stark blow.
Mother wants power! He shoved back, glistening tip of the blade now a few mere inches away from Maya's throat. I want this host!
