According to some parents, Derpy Hooves(AKA Ditzy Doo) is offensive to kids with disabilities. Though I believe that she's a pony that they can relate to, not be offended by. A pony that's not perfect makes them realize that it's okay to be different and unique.
If you think about it, it's actually MORE offensive to REMOVE her than to keep her in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, because it makes the kids with disabilities feel like they should be removed too. And another down point of removing her is that the show would lose more fans than if they kept her. Derpy is the most popular with the main fanbase of Bronies than the younger
