Skyrim is a strange land. Back in Whiterun, the temperature was moderate, seeing as spring has begun, but now that we’re riding into the Pale, a light snow has begun to fall. I lean forward on Kari’s back, snuggling close to keep warm. Vilkas and his horse trot at a steady pace next to us. His horse, named , is a white stallion that will surely blend into the background after a few more miles into this winter wonderland. Vilkas catches me staring.
“Are you warm enough?” He asks.
I nod sleepily. Tightening the shawl around me, I snuggle closer to my mare and close my eyes.
