At Night: Contest entryAt night I find I cannot sleep, even in my own bed, I find myself gravitating to my computer. Night after night I stare into my computer screen and I wonder what on the other side is kept at bay by the light of my computer. I feel it, the feeling of dread, of utter and complete fear.At Night: Contest entry3 hours ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
When I look at the clock and find that it’s moving too slowly, my anxiety peaks, and my thoughts race. I feel like is this the night I’m going to find what lies beyond my computer, or am I going to turn it off in a couple hours and the thing that hides in my closet, is under my bed, or waiting just outside the window for the last of the light to go out to pounce upon my house hold.
Tonight, just like every night I find myself with this feeling, I also refer to is the feeling of the only person in the world feeling that I get at three am. I find the light of computer comforting and I write down ideas that I’ve had for the day. I hear clicking that is not coming from my keys, but I ju

I can spider-leg my way across the ceiling. Horrific and batlike, wooden talons hooked over the carvings, three points of contact, the flesh arm clutching the bag to my belly. Spoons Spoons to me were always more than a simple eating utensil. I never understood why i loved them so much but... i just did. At school I always got bullied. They just thought of me as the girl with the spoon fetish. It wasn't as dirty as all that though. I just loved them. I didn't find out why I loved them so much until the first day of fifth grade. I was just walking down the hall after class when one of the bullies and her gang started picking on me. I had had a long day so I blew her off at first but she wouldn't leave me alone. after about five minuets I couldn't take it anymore. I yanked a spoon out of my backpack and said, "If you come one step closer you'll lose your eyes." She replied, "I'd like to see you tr- too late. before she could finish her sentence my spoon was under her eye popping it out of her head and ripping it out without a second thought. It was amazing. The sky was getting dark, the city was now lighted by the lights coming from houses and buildings. The night was quiet, and the roads were empty: only a few people were there for a nice and peaceful walk. James Nothely, a young man of 26 years, was walking on the big bridge that was passing by the centre of the city. Under there could be seen the beautiful blue lake. That was a very peaceful night, but in those days in the city weren't happening the best of the things.
James bought a newspaper in one of the shops of the bridge. They were always open, and each evening James was there for see the news. But those were always the same: "Found a

Before the Emperor's rein, that alone would have been enough to free her from her position. The knives of jealous coutiers would have been proof against a dark queen who resented her own darkness.

"Good evening, Herr Professor Zann."
"Good evening. Who would you be?"
"Ï am Milt Sansone from the Church of Starry Wisdom, Professor. We have heard of your music and we would like to invite you to play for us. Have you heard of our organization?"
"Ï have indeed."
"Herr Professor, this could lead to a permanent spot at our organization. We hope that you will accept our invitation."
"It so happens that I am available just now, so, OK, I accept."
"That is certainly great news. I shall inform my friends and then come back to take you. Thank you so much, Herr Professor."
[The Church of Starry Wisdom was indeed happy to use Erich Zann, and they proceeded promptly to start a choir for him to play for. The accompaniment
