JEM5: Games for FoolsTwo weeks had gone by and it had yet to stop raining, and from what I had heard, it never does. While everyone either stayed inside or sported an umbrella, I let the raindrops soak through my hair and run down my face. I enjoyed it. What I didn’t enjoy was finding a place to live. The apartments I was shown were either too small or way too overpriced. Somehow spending all my time robbing people didn’t seem too appealing. I’d rather steal for fun. Having to do it takes off all of the edge. I’m looking for a place big enough for myself and a studio without costing me the opportunity to start saving money.JEM5: Games for Fools53 minutes ago in Short Stories

New Niece (Dedicated to Cry's new niece!)Hearing the pained screams from his sister, from far as he was, Cry winced, shifting uncomfortably in the plastic waiting room chair. Suddenly, the screams stopped, and Cry jumped to his feet, tapping his foot anxiously. Soon, a nurse walked in, calling out his name, an eyebrow rising due to his mask, but lead him to his sister without question. Swallowing nervously, Cry pushed the door open slowly, smiling as his sister, though tiredly, motioned him over, her husband smiling at the little bundle he held.

“Yes, Sherlock, I’m here love,” John comes in from sun room and settles onto the edge of their bed.
“I can’t see you,” Sherlock squints at John.
“That’s because you don’t have your glasses on.” John takes the glasses from the bed side stand and hands them to his husband of 45 years.
“Oh that’s much better John,” Sherlock huffs as he settles the glasses on his nose.
“Feeling better, ready to get up?” John is examining him thoroughly now. “I told you to get that flu jab last month. You could have saved yourself being sick these last four days.”
“Four days,” Sherlock sits up quickly and grips John by the arms. “The queen, John, I was supposed to transport her early on this week.”
“Its okay love,” John smiles. “She’s all sorted and ensconced in her n

Slipping into his car, Spain drove to France’s house, his frown deepening when France did not greet him when he drove up. Using the spare key given to him, Spain entered the mansion, calling out for his friend repeatedly, but receiving no answer. Opening the door to France’s room, Spain peered inside, spying France on his bed, curled into a ball, shaking slightly.

Story:
The lone wolf walked among the glittering, snow encrusted branches making them snap through anger. She had no idea where she was going but she was sure it was away from her pack. The new forest scents filled her nostrils with deep pine scents and newly marked territory, she was very cautious to wander away from these. Her head hung low near the ground in sadness, only keeping her eye sight up when hearing something. The twigs made the pray prance away with their fear scents too obvious, but still the wolf only wandered without trying for the prey. For a second there was a flash of darkness and she raised her head in shock of the sudden light change. Her eyes focused on the cause, it was another wolf, but it smelt of another packs, but one she couldn't identify. Her instincts told

It all began one hot afternoon on May 3rd. Zoey, the Tidmouth station pilot was shunting some trucks in the yard. Though she was now getting the hang of shunting coaches, she still liked trucks better. She was having lots of fun with the trucks. "Man, you trucks are so fun." she said. Gordon was nearby and overheard. "How on Earth are trucks fun?!" he asked crossly, "They are rude, noisy, cheeky, loudmouthed, annoying, and always like to cause trouble!" Zoey ignored the statement and continued shunting.
Later on, she brought a rake of 5 coaches to platform 1. Duck soon pulled into the bay platform with his two au

Rebecca's Ransom“mmmppphhh…” Rebecca groaned into her gag. The 19-year old girl sat on a hard wooden chair…somewhere. In all honesty, she had no idea where she was. A thick scarf was tied across her eyes, keeping her in the darkness. She’s had it on when she was brought here, and she’d had it on in the two days since then. Another scarf was pulled between her teeth, muffling her whimpers. "You don't remember running out of the house?" he asked curiously. Anya shook her head. Jason heard footsteps behind him and looked around, seeing Hades run up to them.
"Anya!" he said, pulling his daughter into a hug, "Why did you do that?"
"I-I .... I-I really don't know," she said, blinking. Hades looked at the building, feeling an evil aura inside.
"Jason, Anya," he said slowly, "Head back to the house ..."
Jason and Anya looked at Hades and nodded. Jason took Anya's hand and they walked away together. Hades walked up the door and pressed his ear against it. There were voices inside.

It had been one of the quieter days in the Brooklyn House for Micheal. In fact, he hadnt heard
anything from a certain red head all day. Deciding to occupy himself, he sat up and began to
roam around in search of Brianna. He walked through the many halls of the Nome. Soon enough,
he found himself on the terrace to find the short, redhead leaning against the railing. She wasnt
doing anything but standing there, looking down to the harbor below. Micheal walked up behind
her, and touched her shoulder, causing Brianna to jump.
Bloody hell, Micheal! You nearly scared me half to death! She exclaimed

10. Sorrow“Come here, kitty,” I said to him. “I’ve been wondering where you ran off to.” He sat down at the edge of the building, about twenty feet from me, and started to lick his paw. "Oh come here, silly," I called again, knowing he was playing with me. He got up and trotted over while I bent down to greet him. Jumping up on my thigh, he meowed and then began to rub his head on the underside of my chin. I started to run my hands through the fur on his back and a wild purr began. 6. FearThe constant alarm was the only indication that time was still marching on, bringing my worst fear closer and closer. Must be the oxygen deprivation affecting my brain activity, I thought. I never have those stupid thoughts when I'm running through the wormholes I create. If I lose my concentration at all, I could create a wormhole that opens up in the middle of a planet or a star. That would not be a very hero

Girls in White DressesI keep my eyes on the men as they walk, their boots landing with hollow thuds on the damp streets. I push my chin up and hold my shoulders squarely–Mother taught me that. She always says “They like the feisty ones.” I play with my knot of red hair solemnly, the dazed and ignorant look that many of the whores lining the streets wear is etched in my face. I feel the gaze of the men snake over to me in unison and I keep eye contact. Not threateningly of course, but bravely. I have found through my few years of whoring on the streets that men like a little spirit. Maybe it was with the hopes that they could break it. EmptinessWhat is the point of existence?Emptiness6 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
Just as existence was born from nothing, everything must return to nothing.
Why, then, do we live?
An emptiness boils in my chest, infecting me, draining me, spreading until all that's left is a mindless shell.
As if I was more than that in the first place.
Mindlessly trudging; the fog in my head unable to be cleared by the sun that scorches overhead. The busy street that surrounds me doesn't exist; all I know, all I see, all I feel are the shadows of my own heart.
Then I see her.
A ray of light pierces through my shell, into the empty depths of my soul. The void begins to fill, rapidly, unceasingly, as
