Brightly Coloured Paperclips.
Reaching up with a slow hand, he removed his glasses; his other hand rubbing knuckles back into his darkened eyes. Hours had passed, the team had all left to get some rest - even she'd left...and she always stayed latest with him. Despite the countless hours already devoted to Optimus's most recent task, Perceptor didn't feel like he was any closer to cracking the encrypted drives that have shamefully littered his desk for the last week. The fire team had risked life and limb to retrieve the handful of potentially tide-altering tech, and Optimus - well, as relayed by Prowl - had expounded upon such confidence in

His head was swimming. The smell of mold and black water was something that couldn’t be ignored. The small bit of sunlight and moonlight trickling through the cracks of the old cavern was just enough to support the small amount of life growing on the porous rocks. Not like vegetation Aleron had seen back in Baraz’Bar, but something odd and strange, clinging to life on only the small bit of rainwater that occasionally runs down the interior edges of stone. This land was different.
It was cold without his armor. His tunic lay several feet from him,

Today, a visiting locomotive from the Western Region was damaged when, climbing a hill, the wheels slipped furiously. No. 6004 "King George III" was climbing the Broken Incline when it's main driving wheels slipped profusely. The driver tried to control the locomotive with the reverser but failed when the turning screw backfired, breaking both of the driver's arms. Five seconds later the internal Walschaerts valve gear ripped itself apart causing extreme damage to the entire locomotive. It was estimated that the driving wheels span at the speed equivalent to 135 M.P.H. The Great Western locomotive is current

I don’t understand how she could do this to me. How could she. I was sitting in the tower at Alfea that overlooked Magix. It was the only place in the school where I could be alone. It was nice and quiet and no one bothered me. It’s been a month since the break up or two months I don’t know anymore. My friends have tries to help me but they don’t understand. My heart feel like there is a hole in it. I just want to sit here and try to cry it out, cry out all the pain and betrayal. I don’t want to see anyone or talk to anyone; they don’t know how I feel. They don’t know how bad my heart feels.

She could always tell her mother's mood with the first six words. She could hear the excitement, the sadness, the happiness, the 'I want you to do me a favour but I won't ask directly' tone she took to take her in. It still worked, of course, but at least she could brace herself for anything she might ask. And she could immediately detect the 'I need you here right now, but I'm too proud to say it' words, which always made her worry.
She could always make a pretty good guess at her boss' expectations for the day by the first ten minu

Balliamo?

SiestaAna stared into Nikolai's violet eyes. She pursed her lips, trying to get him to smile. His expression remained the same, neutral. Ana's golden-brown eyes widened at him. He didn't blink.Siesta53 minutes ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Why won't you smile?" Ana pouted.
He looked her up and down. Sighing, he rested his forehead against hers. Ana's face went bright red.
"I'm too tired to smile," he whined, "Why did you wake me up?"
"Because of a little thing I like to call school," she grinned.
His violet eyes went dull as she pulled away from him. He sighed again, leaning his back against his wall.
"I want to sleep," he announced.
"You can't sleep," Ana said stubbornly, "It's only five o'clock."
Nikolai stood up off his floor. He sat on his bed. Ana, desperate for him to stay awake, sat next to him. His dull eyes looked at her exasperatedly.
"Why won't you let me sleep?" he asked.
"Because, it's too early to sleep," she lied.
His eyes closed.
"I'm going to sleep," he said.
"If I tell you the truth will you stay up?" Ana mumble
