So lightly played
I watched your eyes,
As your body swayed.
You took the time,
Counted the beat.
Hips matched mine,
We moved our feet.
As the major fades,
And the minor lifts
You meet my eyes,
Your body shifts.
I see the pain,
The hidden light,
Not always seen
On arpeggio night.
Your lips turn down
And your face grows old,
Your eyes change tone
To silver, and cold.

Fallen Angel
She hides in the shadows, sheilding her face,
this child never laughs, this child never smiles.
Longing the warmth of a mother's embrace,
her body is broken from wandering miles.
Her face stained with tears, from nights when she cries,
she walks throgh the darkness, screaming their names.
Despite all the pain, her hope never dies,
she's searching to find the place whence she came.
They left her behind, did they even care?
She calls to the ones that watch from above.
She falls to the ground as her strength does wear,
all she ever wanted was to be loved.
As she takes her last breath, the light shines through,

When I walked into the room I felt your gaze,
Which I purposely ignored and looked away.
I met the gaze of everyone but you;
I bestowed a smile that wasn't true.
And though my heart was torn I hid it well.
Happiness became my outer shell.
I chatted and I laughed and I appeared
To be having too much fun for any tears.
Your gaze was always on me, so intense
My partners wondered why I stumbled when I danced.
For hours I was worried of your coming;
I fled as much as I could without running.
The music and the food and fancy dress
I would remember but for my distress.
While I flirted and I curtseyed and I danced
You watched along the

Entangled in a slow dance,
Swaying like the changing leaves.
Two hearts fusing as one with each step.
The sound of the whistling wind is our music,
The lilies and daisies blowing along the ground,-
- are cheering us on.
His presence leads us forward,

The night would last forever
on that warm summers eve
for my father would come to visit
and a child's heart would believe.
He ran his fingers through my hair,
cupped my cheeks and smiled.
then he knelt and kissed the top of my head
our special way of saying "hi".
We sat outside on the front porch
listening to the quiet sound of the rain.
My father said, "It's the dancing Irish,
The dance on rooftops when it rains.
They're small, these Irish folk.
Can you hear their tiny feet?
They dance merrily and heartily
to the rains swift, falling beat."
I ran into the middle of the yard
laughing, "I wanna dance too!"
So I began to boogi

Dallas stared at her young daughter Susan as she lay on her deathbed. Susan had had cancer for five years and the doctors didn't know what else to do. They tried everything, but the cancer found some way of getting back in to little Susan's system. Her young daughter's last request seemed...different. She knew that Susan meant it; she wanted to dance with Jesus ever since she told Susan that Jesus always dances with princesses like herself. Ever since then, Susan's dream was to dance in the arms of The Savior.
"Am I really a princess, mommy?" Susan asked with after a violent cough.

I take a step onto the dance floor,
Allow my gaze to scan the crowd.
A smile begins to stretch along my lips as the music plays,
And to my shock a hand rests on my shoulder.
Turning around I stare into the foreign face.
"Will you dance with me?"
His voice was warm, it sent a shiver down my spine.
Slowly I allow him to take my hand,
and I rest my other one on his shoulder.
He leads me to the center of the dance floor.
Minutes pass, comfort filling me bones,
But my Spirit turned inside me, forewarning me.
I don't listen, I continued to dance along.
I look into his eyes, only half aware of the change.
The dark emptiness that lay

And spout my words in a hurried rhyme,
And wish for wistful happenings
That should be found in a million things,
Like morning dew or sunset glow,
Or the graceful fall of powder snow.
And I must wait. Discontent am I
To just blow kisses at the sky.
To be gazed upon, and feel the fire,
That draws me in and lifts me higher,
To feel the warmth is not enough;
I must be burned by this growing love.
In restless hurting and thirst for more,
Im wishing youd break down my door,
And despite the gaze Im not satisfied
With just blowing kisses at the sky.

Letter from the Devil
I saw you yesterday,
As you began your daily chores.
You awoke without kneeling to pray.
As a matter of fact,
You didn't even bless your meals,
Or pray before going to bed last night.
You are so un-thankful,
I like that about you.
I cannot tell you how glad I am,
That you have not changed your way of living,
O Fool of mine
You are mine.
Remember,
You and I have been going steady for years,
And I still don't love you yet.
As a matter of fact,
I never will.
I hate you because I hate God.
He kicked me out of heaven.
So I am going to use you,
As long as possible,
To pay him back.

for warmth, as I stand
in permanent free fall
before the two dippers-
I have no tears with which to weep,
they won't last beyond
the first touch of
thin air in this high place
where trees never grew
or felt the tension of gut sinew
when I lost my eyes
staring into the sun, and
how its dried breath of
ancient rain and elk horn
has left the moon an orphan.

Festivals of LifeI remember those summer nightsFestivals of Life4 months ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
when we danced like mirthful angels
under the clear, starry skies
that expanded across the land.
And the colors burned so bright
like an ancient tribal fire.
Skirts swayed in the glory light
with lipstick shades of red.
And I could hear the wolves cry
like a melody in the distance.
The taste of mild salsa spice
lingered forever on my tongue.
And I will never forget those nights
when the wild world around us
was nothing but a beautiful sight
under a lantern-lit ocean.

You may have this heart
And, ain't it grand?
There's no replacing
What I can give.
You've got a life--
Why don't you live?
You may take time
To hide away
In little corners
Of my soul today.
Wellspring of life
Flows from my lips
As you release
Cold, deathlike grips.
You may have this dance
On this weary night
With the soul and smile
Bathed in moonlight.
I've no objection
To your hand in mine.
The air is clear,
The night is fine.
Come away with me
Resting together
In divinest peace
That will last forever.
In a whispered moment
Enthralled and entranced,

I dance in the moonlight
I dance in every phase
The motion moving
Dancing freely
To natures drum
Round and round a sacred candle
A sacred flam of life
In a circle I dance
And chant a prayer
Of praise to those above
The wind dances with me
Gliding me along
The water dances with me
Each flowing tide a rejoice
The earth dances with me
Guiding my every step
The fire dances with me
Creating a dance of its own
We dance as one
As it should be
Chanting praises
And invoking the powers

Not a recourse comes to mind
But to lift my hands in worship
While the shadows soft unwind.
Like a mist that gently whispered
In the sinews of my brain
Comes a melody of mercy
I like to drown in time again.
Softly, oh so softly,
Comes a warm hand, holds my own.
In the dancing of the dust motes
We dance the waltz I've known
Since I grew up in the melody
We directed up above,
To the choreography
Of races run for love.
Breathing, now I'm breathing
The smell of souls releasing--
I'm twirling in the blood-red wine
Of covenants unceasing.
'Tis humbling to recall
That the steps are learned so slow,

In the forest where the flowers spring.
There we'll take your outstretched hands,

Through forests and deserts and over the sea.
We'll take you to where you wish to be.
Through magic and mist the Veil will appear,
The end of your journey draws near.

Will they expel me from Heaven,
Hell being my price to pay
I suppose I'll dance with the Devil
Instead of singing amongst God

And clothed upon her satin skin,
Are rays of sunlight that wherein,
Can never bare what hides beneath,
The lamb that bites with wolf-like teeth.
For she is more than she appears,
A monster well beyond her years,
The dragon near her tiny form,
Will die a tragic death 'fore long,
This damsel acts in mere distress,
She is so cunning; dangerous.
In victory she swiftly slides,
From all the clothes in which she hides,
Revealed to all in moonlight's eye,
A pale young figure to the sky,
A cruel seductress - that is she,
Tragedy meets all she sees.
