Dystopian fever, burns through my arms, spreading violently throughout ragged palms, black skin. I awake to the blades of sun, chopping my posture into bits- wild, swirly, eyes-a calm blend of amber & chocolate riptides, waves of all things beautiful brushing against a white shore, a cheek.
