Personal SestinaShafts of light on a timeless staircase  Illuminate the face of a tried young man  Who, dreaming of release, must complete  His daily work wearing heavy iron shoes  Which pull him down, as he bears his burden,  Tearing at his will repeatedly like a chronic disease.   
Only recently informed of his irritable disease,  The boy looks up the ominous staircase  And, seeing no summit, feels a doubled weight from his burden,  Which comes down hard on the head of a young man,  Throwing his face to the floor at his iron shoes,  And he stares at them, wondering how to complete   
The Personal Sestina
Untitled SestinaI couldn't say it to your face  because it would crush you inside-out,  but you're putting on weight  and I can't help but notice  your patchy elbows are gone-  you look so beautiful lying there.   
Your spinal warmth was mine and there  was character to your face,  but now your rib-stripes are gone  like a zipper turned inside-out,  reversed without notice  but carrying weight.   
And is it right to wait  to see your mirrored half-looks there  and pretend not to notice  the sadness in your face  creeping from the inside out  and then covered by smi Untitled Sestina
Stanzas, untitled, unfinishedI  Fire, Water, Earth, and Air,  All crumble beneath my stare.  Yet though they bow before my entity,  I still ponder my identity   
II  Tarry not!  Soar through eternity!  Go!  Live for today!  And tomorrow,  Dream, in the shadow of the void.   
III  If fate wills it so,  So it will be.  Count not your woes,  And you shall succeed.   
 
IV  Fight or flight, sink or swim,  Do your job, obey your whims.  The choice is yours, make it well.  But do not stay locked in your shell.   
V  Dare to stand Stanzas, untitled, unfinished
