honour held in hand

endless snowy plains
the souls of two warriors stand
destinies entwined

a single star trails
as the caw of many crows
spreads through the night sky

in the end only one

Here a woman, hoping she instantiates glamour, unguardedly allows her loneliness to peer through her mask of aloof solitude. This child peers without guile at the black hole of the camera lens.
