The other two skidded, and looked back at her.
Free hand on her knee, she had paused to catch her breath.
Azeneth and Ethan exchanged a look of concern.
"I'll go back to Cherrygrove."
Lyra looked up at her friend as if she said she were going to skydive off the moon.
"He might have passed us." she explained, "Ethan, can you carry Lyra to the lab?"
He looked between the girls, blinking in confusion. "Uh-- er, yeah!" He moved to Lyra's side, and scooped her up, damsel-in-distress-style.
