Recycling Satire Recycling is a familiar concept in this day and age. It is the hallmark of a clean society. They say that as an individual, one must start recycling in order to help others begin. So, if recycling starts with the individual, then the individual must start being recycled!Recycling Satire4 years ago in Humor
The organs are the first line of business to take care of. Start by cleansing the brain of all thoughts and memories, using a course-bristle brush; remember to brush hard on those difficult to reach brain folds. Next, rinse the heart in luke-warm water and Pine-Sol in order to clear it of all excess fluids and emotions. The brain and heart now belong to a new

How you taunt me so.
Plump from my ideas,
With none for me to show.
Your mouth always open,
Waiting to be fed
The words that roll about
So messy in my head.
Each scrap a banquet,
Each page a tasty treat.
You grin at my failure
And swell from my defeat...

Recycled DreamsI was halfway down the second floor apartment stairs when I realized I'd left my left arm on the table.Recycled Dreams2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It's no surprise of course, for I've always had a habit of misplacing important things like keys, documents, and identification cards, but to leave one’s arm on the table is truly embarrassing. I would have run back to get it, but the bus driver is always a bit early on Tuesdays and I could already hear the distant hum of the engine making its way to me. And it's not like I really need it for work anyway. So I left it behind.
It's penguins and oranges today; my latest client is a fairly normal one. The last dreamer wanted marsupia

but he was talking trash.
Nobody would want to reuse me.
Every cell of my body was worn out.
"I can't agree with your theory", I replied,
sucking on a lifeless soft drink.
It was as flat as a dead joke delivery.
I finished it and handed him the can.
"Thanks for not littering", he smiled,
adding the can to his collection.
I looked in that black plastic bag
and saw the worn-out eyes of a thousand souls.

A new day begins.
As the hours pass it descends
towards its dark end.
Each passing minute wave-like
breaks on the unchanging shore.

I shifted uncomfortably in my chair. This question always made me feel like I was on the spotlight, like at any second I was supposed to blurt out some sort of secret. Well, I mused, pretending to seriously consider it. Im good with people, especially children. I dont know why.
She smiled and patted my arm in what was obviously a maternally way. Take it to her to act like the mother, what with her super clear skin and huge boobs. Yep, Im sure many of the fathers drooled over her in their sleep. People never

Claw MachineIt was a normal day at the carnival: we had ridden the roller coasters, played the hammer game, and puked on the Tilt-a-Whirl. But we hadn't seen a Claw Machine yet, which was a shame because I always win those.Claw Machine2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
But then I saw one. It was filled with an assortment of toys: a Ziggy doll, Betty Boop, a Batman, a gorilla, your normal Claw Machine diet. But when I laid eyes on it, I had to have my dad give me my last two quarters. It was a Jigglypuff doll. I just had to have it; it was the cutest thing, made cuter by the two bandages on it, most likely a reference to the Recycle card.
I inserted my quarters like a pro at a football game. I st

Burning the words into oblivion,
Destroyed and forgotten like so many things,
Useless ashes blown by fickle wind.
The words don’t matter,
They made no sense,
Inspired no minds,
Better off destroyed anyway.
Fire oh fire,
Make me forget these things,
They never should have bothered,
Maybe I’ll just try again,
Or perhaps it’s time to throw in the towel.
Keep burning now fire,
There are plenty more words to demolish,
Words of no impact,
Even you would find them boring.

And what did I see?
Me, a squirrel, up in a tree.
And from up on the branch, I looked to the road.
And what did I see?
Me, a fat little toad.
And down on the asphalt, I looked to the sky,
And what did I see?
Me, a bird, way up high.
And from up in the clouds, I looked to the sea,
And what did I spot?
Me, an old seal, dead as could be.
And from my place on the beach, where I decided to die,
I looked back at the bird, way up in the sky.
The bird looked at the toad, the toad looked to the tree,
The squirrel stared back,
The bell rang at 2:03.

Naruto entered the classroom looking a bit sour to even be there. He sat in his seat grudgingly and sighed. The other students in the classroom didn't care to notice him as they chatted amongst themselves, droning the classroom in a loud white noise. He looked around the room, frowning a little as he saw all the children smiling as they chatted with each other, acknowledging each other, gossiping about the latest whatever, and a few of them glancing toward a b
