Now, she sat in the half-dream, waiting for Sol to slip completely into sleep. His "body" in the dream was lying next to her, looking asleep but truly waiting for Sol to enter the dream. It was really weird, focusing on a dream in a specific place so far from her own body. She could still feel things around her; the blankets, Cale beathing softly, yet again curled up against her stomach. He'd probably wake in a few hours and go to his own room again. The Conjurer and the ShadeSparks flew up from the fire as the logs fell onto, hissing like vipers in the air. He cracked his fingers and poked at the blaze with a worn iron rod, a grim smile stretching over his face. His face was a worn, demonic thing in the firelight, shadows and orange light flickering over dozens of wrinkles, and glinting on narrow bloodshot eyes. His beard was thick and grey, knotted and tied together into a single messed strange, slightly blackened from the ash, soot and dirt.
