Chapter One

The water of the sewer's river seemed to sparkle against the gritty cobblestone walls, making shadows of everything that passed by. It was very damp and smelled of a stench that no word could possibly describe. The water had an eerie darkness to it and rushed slower here than outside, confined against the walls that tunneled along side it. But the water seemed to make the place cold and along with the stone all around, it was less bearable than the snowy world  above. It was as though this place was it's own world.
