Alvin slowly opened his eyes and groaned, reaching over to grab his phone. His hand froze halfway when he heard a muffled sob.
MidNight's muffled sob.
"MidNight..?" Alvin whispered, sitting upright as he peered over the couch.
"It's my fault..It's all my fault.." MidNight uttered through his tears, holding onto his chest as it throbbed with the pain of guilt. "What did you-"
"
IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!"
He screamed, placing his shaky hands over his ears as he let out sob after sob, repeating "I'm so sorry" to himself.
"Snap out of it, MidNight!" Alvin yelled, smacking him as hard as he could with his back hand "Crying about this isn't going to solve anything!"
MidNight looked upwards to the brunette, clutching his now red cheek.
"I..I c-can't help it.." He stuttered "I've never felt more guilty in my entire life.."
Alvin took a deep breath as he shut his eyes for a brief moment before letting out the air and speaking once again.
"Shutup, will you?"
He quoted, kneeling down to MidNight and wrapping his arms around the shaking assassin.
"I'm so sorry.." MidNight uttered, griping onto Alvin's shirt tightly, his sobs coming out shaky.
"I..I forgive you.."
Alvin sighed and patted MidNight's back gently. He'd never seen MidNight shed a single tear, even when he took a couple of blows to the face. It was so strange seeing him break down soo easily over his brother.
'Does he really love him that much?' Alvin thought, studying the material of MidNight's hoodie as he felt his being soaked with tears.

Garfunkel whimpered as he turned to his side, staring at the beige floor beneath him, the cool breeze from the A.C seeming to calm the burning pain in his side.
"Need anything before I go?" The nurse asked, the same warm smile on her face.
"No, I'll be fine, thanks." Garfunkel returned a weak smile as he pulled the covers over him and let out a soft sigh.
"Alright, call me if you need anything, good night!"
And with that she walked out the room, the soft
click, clack, click, clack of her high heels echoing down the darkened hallways.
Garfunkel shifted onto his back again, staring blankly up at the ceiling as he inserted the earphones into his ears. He lifted his phone to his face and yawned gently, relaxing all his muscles as his head sank further into the pillow's comforting warmth. The sudden brightness illuminating from his phone caused his eyes to water.
Squinting his eyes, he unlocked the phone with a few taps, and went to the media file. He flicked through his extended song collection until he found the perfect songs to keep himself relaxed.
Dropping his arm down he shut his eyes and let out a sigh of relaxation, humming along with the song.
"I don't know what I'd do without you, Imagine Dragons." Garfunkel whispered to himself, a small smile forming on his lips as his mind started to wander off.
----------
"Gar?"
MidNight said, opening the door as he stuck his head inside the room and smiled at his lover who placed his book down and motioned for him to come inside.
"I missed you.."
Garfunkel whispered, wrapping his arms around MidNight's neck, pulling him in for a heartfelt hug.
"How long until you come home?" MidNight asked, looking at the wires that were attached to his arm.
"A few more days. Don't worry MidNight, I'll be fine." Garfunkel gave him a reassuring smile then gasped in surprise when the others burst in, holding gift baskets and balloons.
"Surprise!"
Alvin cheered, running over to his brother and giving him a quick hug before placing a box of chocolates down on his lap.
"Alvin, did you do all this?" Garfunkel giggled, studying the box on his lap as he sat up straight.
"Well yeah, the little guy did help." Phoenix replied, messing up the younger assassin's golden-brown hair "We all helped." Nova corrected, smiling proudly as he held out the gift basket to Garfunkel.
"Thank you all soo much! But, you know I don't need any of this." Garfunkel giggled once again, his cheeks taking on a soft shade of pink.
"Well, it's not everyday you almost die." Sharky scoffed, nudging Garfunkel playfully "It is for us." MidNight sighed, keeping his eyes on the wires as the guilt started to emerge from the depths of his mind. "Oh don't be so negative about it." Garfunkel started, eyeing his 'crowd' as he spoke boldly.
"We chose to be who we are. It's in our blood." "Nothing is true, everything is permitted.." MidNight mumbled, cursing at himself for using the old phrase. "Exactly." Garfunkel added, nodding in approval. "We're all just glad your not rotting in a coffin." Tech laughed, clearing his throat and looking away after Garfunkel shot him a menacing glare.
"Anyways, if you need us, we'll be down in the cafeteria." Sheen announced, poking Sharky's arms as he motioned to the door. "Keep an eye out for Elders. They might know about this." Garfunkel pointed to his side "See ya in a bit!" Phoenix called, waving back to Garfunkel before exiting the room.
----------
"I'm sorry."
MidNight repeated for the fifth time, staring down at Garfunkel bright, hazel eyes, trailing his fingers down Garfunkel's back as softly as he could, letting out a soft sigh.
"Please don't blame yourself. You know this isn't your fault."
Garfunkel placed a hand on MidNight's cheek, a look of concern on his face.
"If it isn't, why do I feel so guilty?"
"This is in the past now. You need to learn to move on."
"I just can't stop thinking about what I'd do if I ever lost you.." Garfunkel pulled his lover closer and kissed his nose gently
"Just relax, we're here now, and that's all that matters." MidNight shut his eyes for a brief moment, a faint smile forming on his lips when he opened his eyes again.
"Do me a favor?"
"Anything."
"Stay out of my head, will you?" Garfunkel let out a soft giggle and buried his head in MidNight's neck, as he spoke in a soft whisper.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, friend."
MidNight's smile widened as he studied his lover's features, admiring his perfect skin as he trailed his eyes down his body.
For a moment, the world stopped moving for the two.
They had no worries, no troubles, and no doubts.
Their minds were completely blank as they consumed the warmth of each other's embraces, noticing noises they've never noticed before, shifting a little from time to time in an attempt to be closer to one another.
For a moment, everything was perfect, and for a moment, MidNight took his lover's advice and forgot the past, slowly shutting his eyes as he started to drift off.
