Shingeki No Kyojin Artbook Anyone for the future?

Journal Entry: Tue May 21, 2013, 3:48 AM

:icongtthplz: You have no idea how much I want to start it...but the more I check out the printing publishers the more I gasp at the prices....I first need to get friendly in knowing about printing services, cost and methods to raise funds for it. Also since I'm a novice at this, It be great for someone to give me a hand! Someone who has prior knowledge to art book printing. If you are one of them or know someone who might help, let me know!   I may be slightly busy but this right now is something I'd love to start off.

God someone answer me. :iconpapmingplz:

So what made me want to do this...one word: impulsiveness
Yes, that may be a little to naive of me but it would be nice to get involved while we're still brewing passionate love for Shingeki No Kyojin [Attack of the Titans!]

I mean--wouldn't it be nice to have an artbook right before or around Christmas time or--- if not this year---next year?!

Anyways, Like I said before, Because I lack of certain things...making this start would be risky.

I have this load of questions such as the minimum pages for an artbook, the type of binding or paper stock in the artbook, should it be Paperback or hardcover, the format that should be handed over to the publishers (PDF? PSD?), etc.

I tried looking up answers but I mainly got vague answers that truly didn't answer my questions at all. I've Googled and searched DA. I'm beginning to wonder that maybe I've searched wrong and it's not bringing up the results I need. Either way, without help...this here won't start.

So far I heard Lulu.com and Blurb were good choices for printing services. There's also other Book printing sites I've come across but I'm unsure of their quality.

Maybe for now it's just a dream, but I want this dream to be a possibility that can turn into the real thing.

:iconmanlytearsplz: One day my friend...One  of these days...

someone needs to stop my impulsiveness--I get way out of my league at times

Hi! It´s...ME! Yei!!! well, you´ll notice that I love this history and if you haven´t read that book then you should know that...YOU HAVE TO!!!!
Nevermind, I´m not supoused to sy that.

You´ll excuse my english, I´m not to shaby but I´m learning for my future! Yei! if you see any mistake ANY for any mínimum it is, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! and obviously, correct me please. also my computer doesn´t have gramatical corrector.
It all starts with me, surrounded by a bunch of tough guys. Oh geez, I think to myself. How annoying. The leader of their little pack, a guy lean with muscle, shaved hair and tan skin. His black eyes glare at me and as soon as he opens his mouth I turn on my music player and it plays a song called Musique by a Nico Nico Douga singer named Neko. The music slowly settles in, and my instincts kick in, making me raise up the volume. The leader doesn't notice, since I have my hands wrapped around the wire of the headphones where you can pause, play, raise the volume or lower the volume on your music playing device. Right at the peak of high volume, the vocalist screams into the mic and all the instruments burst into song. My eyes open up and my hands tremble a little. The bass and drums make my black headphones vibrate, and the guitar kicks in, bringing life into the song. The vocalist suddenly screams, sending chills down my spine.
"This is what I've got!!~" All of a sudden, the leader steps up in front of me and automatically, I punch him in the face, knowing that he was going to do that to me anyways since he hates my guts so much. The song gets to the good part and I can't contain it anymore. I burst out singing along, fighting my way through.
"This is music-" a punch whizzes by my head, me narrowly dodging it and kicking the stupid jock who attempted to cave my face in the stomach.
"Remember, this is what you created!" Another stupid jock grabs me from behind and I simply grab his arms and flip him with ease. At this point of time, adrenalin has seized my body and added onto my strength. Two of them from the corner of my eyes are running away, that means just two more left. The leader and his little assistant. The little assistant, slightly smaller in height and physic compared to the leader charges in, and swiftly delivers a punch at bluring speed. There is no way I can dodge it, so my best option is to defect it. My arm swings and hits the guy's arm, smacking it out of the way and at the moment he's open, I deliver a roundhouse kick to his face that is so hard and perfectly landed, that my enemy ends up flying into the air, spinning and face-planting onto the floor. Whoa! Did I knock him out or what. The music goes wild in my headphones, all there is left is the leader. two minutes and twenty seconds, the song is almost over. The last chorus blares out and I sing even louder and beat the crap out of the leader. He manages to dodge most of my punches and side step me, until I sweep his feet, making him trip. He falls to the floor and I bust out with one-two punch combination to the guys face a couple of times and kick him to the side. I dust myself off, fix my headphones comfortably on my ears, and walk off on Que when the music stops playing.

sound of the train changed, from the normal click clack to the sound of brakes squealing. waking with the feeling of falling hitting the floor rolling into the legs of my mum. "you ok my hon" she replied, i moaned back "i think so" wiggling my toes as i remember being told that you can not move your toes if something is broken. pushing my self up sitting back down on the seat that i was sleeping on still dazed. "why we stopped" looking for an answer to a question from mums eyes. "you're hurt you silly duffer" looking into her bag for some tissue that she began wiping the blood from my nose. light flick off and on then off, sitting in darkness. warm feeling of blood on my lip, i could taste the metallic flavor of it as  i opened my lips sitting quiet in total darkness. "its all right the light are out" hearing mums voice out of the darkness. a comfort from the sound of her voice. still the darkness crept in enclosing me. deeper i felt like my body was falling into it, a fear was building and growing deep in me. bringing my knees instinctively up to my chest holding them close. "mum?" i whispered, "yes darling" the sound leveling the intense feeling inside me. must stay here right here telling myself over and over. we were moving away leaving all my friends i have made just like before and the time before that. always running leaving behind any home, why are we being chased. what do they want with me, i told them what they wanted to here. could they just leave us alone please.....

Alvin slowly opened his eyes and groaned, reaching over to grab his phone. His hand froze halfway when he heard a muffled sob.

MidNight's muffled sob.

"MidNight..?" Alvin whispered, sitting upright as he peered over the couch.

"It's my fault..It's all my fault.." MidNight uttered through his tears, holding onto his chest as it throbbed with the pain of guilt. "What did you-"

"IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!"

He screamed, placing his shaky hands over his ears as he let out sob after sob, repeating "I'm so sorry" to himself.

"Snap out of it, MidNight!" Alvin yelled, smacking him as hard as he could with his back hand "Crying about this isn't going to solve anything!"

MidNight looked upwards to the brunette, clutching his now red cheek.

"I..I c-can't help it.." He stuttered "I've never felt more guilty in my entire life.."

Alvin took a deep breath as he shut his eyes for a brief moment before letting out the air and speaking once again.

"Shutup, will you?"

He quoted, kneeling down to MidNight and wrapping his arms around the shaking assassin.

"I'm so sorry.." MidNight uttered, griping onto Alvin's shirt tightly, his sobs coming out shaky.

"I..I forgive you.."

Alvin sighed and patted MidNight's back gently. He'd never seen MidNight shed a single tear, even when he took a couple of blows to the face. It was so strange seeing him break down soo easily over his brother.

'Does he really love him that much?' Alvin thought, studying the material of MidNight's hoodie as he felt his being soaked with tears.

----------

Garfunkel whimpered as he turned to his side, staring at the beige floor beneath him, the cool breeze from the A.C seeming to calm the burning pain in his side.

"Need anything before I go?" The nurse asked, the same warm smile on her face.

"No, I'll be fine, thanks." Garfunkel returned a weak smile as he pulled the covers over him and let out a soft sigh.

"Alright, call me if you need anything, good night!"

And with that she walked out the room, the soft click, clack, click, clack of her high heels echoing down the darkened hallways.

Garfunkel shifted onto his back again, staring blankly up at the ceiling as he inserted the earphones into his ears. He lifted his phone to his face and yawned gently, relaxing all his muscles as his head sank further into the pillow's comforting warmth. The sudden brightness illuminating from his phone caused his eyes to water.

Squinting his eyes, he unlocked the phone with a few taps, and went to the media file. He flicked through his extended song collection until he found the perfect songs to keep himself relaxed.

Dropping his arm down he shut his eyes and let out a sigh of relaxation, humming along with the song.

"I don't know what I'd do without you, Imagine Dragons." Garfunkel whispered to himself, a small smile forming on his lips as his mind started to wander off.

----------

"Gar?"

MidNight said, opening the door as he stuck his head inside the room and smiled at his lover who placed his book down and motioned for him to come inside.

"I missed you.."

Garfunkel whispered, wrapping his arms around MidNight's neck, pulling him in for a heartfelt hug.

"How long until you come home?" MidNight asked, looking at the wires that were attached to his arm.

"A few more days. Don't worry MidNight, I'll be fine." Garfunkel gave him a reassuring smile then gasped in surprise when the others burst in, holding gift baskets and balloons.

"Surprise!"

Alvin cheered, running over to his brother and giving him a quick hug before placing a box of chocolates down on his lap.

"Alvin, did you do all this?" Garfunkel  giggled, studying the box on his lap as he sat up straight.

"Well yeah, the little guy did help." Phoenix replied, messing up the younger assassin's golden-brown hair "We all helped." Nova corrected, smiling proudly as he held out the gift basket to Garfunkel.

"Thank you all soo much! But, you know I don't need any of this." Garfunkel giggled once again, his cheeks taking on a soft shade of pink.

"Well, it's not everyday you almost die." Sharky scoffed, nudging Garfunkel playfully "It is for us." MidNight sighed, keeping his eyes on the wires as the guilt started to emerge from the depths of his mind. "Oh don't be so negative about it." Garfunkel started, eyeing his 'crowd' as he spoke boldly.

"We chose to be who we are. It's in our blood." "Nothing is true, everything is permitted.." MidNight mumbled, cursing at himself for using the old phrase. "Exactly." Garfunkel added, nodding in approval. "We're all just glad your not rotting in a coffin." Tech laughed, clearing his throat and looking away after Garfunkel shot him a menacing glare.

"Anyways, if you need us, we'll be down in the cafeteria." Sheen announced, poking Sharky's arms as he motioned to the door. "Keep an eye out for Elders. They might know about this." Garfunkel pointed to his side "See ya in a bit!" Phoenix called, waving back to Garfunkel before exiting the room.

----------

"I'm sorry."

MidNight repeated for the fifth time, staring down at Garfunkel bright, hazel eyes, trailing his fingers down Garfunkel's back as softly as he could, letting out a soft sigh.

"Please don't blame yourself. You know this isn't your fault."

Garfunkel placed a hand on MidNight's cheek, a look of concern on his face.

"If it isn't, why do I feel so guilty?"

"This is in the past now. You need to learn to move on."

"I just can't stop thinking about what I'd do if I ever lost you.." Garfunkel pulled his lover closer and kissed his nose gently

"Just relax, we're here now, and that's all that matters." MidNight shut his eyes for a brief moment, a faint smile forming on his lips when he opened his eyes again.

"Do me a favor?"

"Anything."

"Stay out of my head, will you?" Garfunkel let out a soft giggle and buried his head in MidNight's neck, as he spoke in a soft whisper.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, friend."

MidNight's smile widened as he studied his lover's features, admiring his perfect skin as he trailed his eyes down his body.

For a moment, the world stopped moving for the two.

They had no worries, no troubles, and no doubts.

Their minds were completely blank as they consumed the warmth of each other's embraces, noticing noises they've never noticed before, shifting a little from time to time in an attempt to be closer to one another.

For a moment, everything was perfect, and for a moment, MidNight took his lover's advice and forgot the past, slowly shutting his eyes as he started to drift off.

PROLOGUE

A girl was caught outside in the cold, howling like a wolf. Her hair was the color of mud, skin a dirty tan. She looked like she hadn't bathed in months. The girl seemed to be around the age of seven or eight. She was a small figure against the huge expanse of white snow, despite being quite tall for twelve years old.
"Dad, why is a girl out in the snow?" a little boy about the same age asked his father.
"I don't know, son." His father said it as an afterthought.
"Honey, we should at least see if she is lost. Maybe we could help her find her family," the boy's mother suggested.
The father sighed. "Fine, Rainah. Chauffeur, please stop for a moment."
The black limo halted almost immediately. The family stepped out and the girl froze mid-howl and gazed in their direction. The little boy ran inhumanly fast to her side. She stared at him in wonder.
"Hello. My name is Alvantin Le Torneau. What's yours?" Alvantin asked with a smile, his tiny fangs glinting in the faint moonlight.
She just shrugged at him and looked him over instead. The girl said, "Hi," in a cracked voice, finally satisfied that he was worth her time.
Alvantin's parents had walked over by this time. Once the girl noticed, she hid behind the boy.
"You have a name, do you not?" Alvantin asked.
She shook her head to say no.
"Where's your family, little girl?" his mother asked in a gentle voice.
"Pack is gone," the girl said in a sad tone.
"Can she stay with us? We have a lot of rooms and no one ever visits nowadays." Alvantin sounded very hopeful.
    "I agree," his mother said.
The father sighed again while rubbing his temples. "Alright, but only until we find her family and only if this girl agrees to do so."
The family turned to the wolfish girl and waited anxiously for an answer.
"Okay." Her head tilted slightly and she looked up as if trying to remember something. "Thank you. I think that's what you're supposed to say."
"You're welcome," the family all said at once.

. . . .

Once they arrived at the family's mansion, the girl was awestruck by the size of it. In her mind, it was as large as a small mountain.
"Come on," Alvantin said. "You must be hungry by now. I know I am."
"Now Alvantin, you know better than to~" his mother began but was cut off by the girl's rumbling stomach.
"Sorry," the girl said, her cheeks turning a light pink as the boy chuckled.
As they stepped inside, maids and butlers began bustling about the house, some running to the kitchens, some coming to greet the family and their guest, others rushing to complete miscellaneous jobs.
"Evening, ma'am and sirs," said one maid addressing the family.
"How are you all doing on this fine night?" asked a butler in a dubious tone.
As the rest of the serfs said hello, the girl whispered a question into Alvantin's ear. "Why are there so many people? What do they do here?"
"They're my family's servants. Why else would they have this reaction when we come home?" he whispered back.
She looked thoughtful for a time. "I dunno. I've never met many people so this is, ah, 'uncharted waters' as the saying goes.
"Yes," Alvantin said with a slight giggle. After this, though, he began to think. She had said a lot that time. But right as he was about to inquire as to why, his thoughts were interrupted.
"Dinner is ready," a maid said, politely addressing them all.
"Perfect timing as always," Rainah said.
The maid curtsied while bowing her head in thanks and ran off towards the kitchens to convey the message.
"Come along then, children," his mother said. "It is time for dinner."

It's happened. It was bound to at some point but now, I truly understand the power with which I have been beckoned. Once you're in, there is no going back. I have been condemned to this life.

FANDOMS OnO

XD You thought it was gonna be something way more dramatic than that? Well fair enough. But honestly and truthfully, I finally understand why our generation is rapidly attaching itself to some fandom or another.
If you're not sure what a fandom is *cough* you crazy *COUGH* basically its a large community of people who share an interest or love for something, typically a film, book series, TV series etc. These people, I'm afraid, are generally maniacs. Lets be honest with ourselves here.  Now I've always had phases of adoration for one thing or another, Harry Potter, Twilight, Sherlock, Percy Jackson blah blah. But that was before the internet was a necessity (you know, the dark days).
Now after reading a book series that has been suggested to me by my tumblr fandom obsessed best friend, MY EYES HAVE BEEN OPENED O_O
Divergent, by Veronica Roth. If you know me well here you will have heard me talking about it an awful lot recently and that is because I have been overwhelmed by the sheer brilliance and hauntingly written style of this book, and its sequel, Insurgent. Its been a long time since I've sat down and read a book. Its been a long time since I've read two reasonably sized books in a space of 4-5 days. I'm understanding why I used to love reading so much :3 And now being a Deviant, Instagrammer and all round internet user, I've found some crazy people out there who share the same interests I do, that being to the extreme XD And I'm absolutely loving it. I'm besotted, for the time being.

I have found myself browsing fan art and meaningful quotes for a good few hours now. My mother is beginning to worry. Wondering when this obsession will pass. Maybe it wont o-o

I suppose my point is, whether you're expecting it or not, they will find you. And don't bother struggling. Really. Just go with it XD
