Before you apply, please know that volunteering for a large and active group here on dA, such as #Unframed-Nature is a real and true commitment, which will take up some of your time on at least a weekly basis, maybe more.
#Unframed-Nature is special in many ways, but from an Administrative view point, it is very special because we have always had good luck with our current Administrators, most of which have been with the Group, as Administrators, for a very long time.
We are a very friendly Team, both with each other, and with the Members, as well. This means when we do have to decline works, we do give a reason, and we are friendly about it. It means, that upon occasion if there is something that we disagree about within the Admin. Team, we disagree nic

About Earth Day, And How It Relates To This Contest
Earth Day is Global Holiday which began in 1970!
This year in 2013, this international celebration which aims to promote awareness, education, and action in order to help preserve and protect our Nature on Earth, falls on Monday, April 22nd!
I have gotten to know more and more about many of our very skilled and creative Members. As a result, I have come to realize that not only do we truly enjoy and love Nature, but I have gotten the feeling that so many of our Members genuinely CARE about our planet, and CARE about wanting to be helpful in protecting the beauty and our natural resources, that we seem to love so very much.
There are so many environmental issues, which do, in fact, adversely affect Earth, our common home.

Multi-submit is a tabbed interface built into the Submit page which allows you to upload and submit multiple deviations at once.
There are several ways to upload multiple files:
Drag and drop several files onto the Submit page at once. Select several files from your Sta.sh by opening the "Select file from Sta.sh" modal and dragging to select, or by using control+click (command+click, for Mac users) to highlight several files at once.

Journals are like Ogres
They both have layers! And they both can make you cry. The deviantART journals have two different structures. The original 'Old School' layout where everything is named .journalbox, etc. And my preference, the newer gruze structure. I prefer the gruze expressly because it is chockful of layers. Kinda like cake or onions, but ogres makes sense too. You can still make a basic simple journal skin with the gruze structure and it has so man
Syn's Dithering TutorialWhat is dithering?
Dithering is a pixel art process used to blend blocks of colour together or help apply a texture to a pixelled surface. Within emoticons it is most commonly used when making pixelled backgrounds, however it can be used in a number of other areas, e.g. massive emote bases, pixel objects etc. In this tutorial, we will focus on how 2 colours can be blended with dithering.
To break dithering down into simple terms, it is achieved by simply taking the colours from the two blocks of colour and placing individual pixels of each on the opposite side. This creates a region where the two colours merge together to create a more blended colour transition instead of a clear line between the two.
Dithering can seem like a complex process, but it's really not. Once you get the basic idea and technique, it's just all about practice and over time you'll learn how to apply it to a number of different situations. There are many dithering styles which can be

I am so happy to see that in less than 2 weeks #Enchanting-Nature has managed to receive 95 members! I believe this is the time to hear your voice for the first time, for I'd like you to comment with your suggestions for activities we can carry out when we reach 500 members, or other improvements you'd like to see.
Upon reaching 500 members, activities such as the ones listed below will take place:
Deviation of the month voted for my the members. Each month a new gallery folder is chosen. The best works are then moved to the featured folder highlighted in the homepage.
Birthdays feature. Members are asked to note the group with their birthdays, and every start of the month, members whose birthdays are in that month will be featured in a journal entry.

I had a good idea for a Spring contest, as the title says, the theme of this contest is May flowers brought on by April showers. I'm not saying that in order for you to enter this contest, it had to rain in your location within the past month, but it could help your chances. The main idea is May flowers, as long as you submit photos of flowers that were taken within the month of May (this year) you have as good of a shot as anybody at winning.

As you know, I gifted 3 person, 3 months PM with some great artist's help.I have some more.I thought it can be nice to make a contest to gift them other artists.For this case I organized a competition before end of the spring or fall.I know it is Spring in here but some people having Autumn somewhere) I had totaly 1.227 points.They are not enough even for 2 persons. YAY!! How Exciting, our first contest at the Inspiration Station! :icongottadanceplz:
The theme of the contest revolves around the similarities AND the differences between Spring and Autumn, opposite seasons that most of us are experiencing. So, we want you to come up with some unique and wonderful creations depicting what you feel, could either be any similarities that Spring and Autumn share, or the differences between them.
For example this could be; weather related, color related, texture related or just a collage of them both...its up to you and your creative imagination and open for interpretation! Photo manipulations are accepted in this instance, BUT please confer with the rules of photo manipulations, before submitting to the contest folder.
