To death's waiting arms they climb.
They seep onto the deadly land,
No longer able to care
That the world dies up there.
A nightmare is the scene.
Lost pawns of humanity
To satisfy war's dark vanity.
Dark over and red below,
This is no-man's land
Where soldiers dread to go.
Dark is evil and light is good.
Sparks and flashes reign around.
Showering death with their goodness.
Noise and confusion in deathly silenc
