Sarah ran through the school, ignoring the teachers and principal behind her yelling "Don't you dare leave again miss Sarah!" As she slammed through the doors and out into the parking lot. She saw the road and instead of using her car, which was terribly beat up from other incidents, she took up the large bag she had been carrying and ran to the other side of the street. She ran not caring to look behind her to see if the teachers hollow threats of calling the police might have been true. Her feet followed an instinctive path using no effort to resist no matter how reluctant she was. 'Was this really the best place to go after your 3rd out burst Sarah?' She thought as she ran.
Ever since she returned to the upper world she couldn't catch a break. Her grades suffered terribly, she was forced to go to therapy after her parents heard her talking in her room for hours by herself. She was talking to Ludo of corse, but they cant hear the large creature, or any of the undergrounds creatures in fact. And now her step mother was filing for a divorce. In a few weeks she may never be able to see Toby again.
In a little over two years her life took a turn for the worst. And now she was here. The place were it all started. A large old and broken stone castle, well what's left of it, in the middle of the towns gardens. "Perhaps if I'm late home again, everything will turn back to the normal I once knew." She leaned against the stone bridge and set her bag down. She eyed the aria. She never really took the time to see how beautiful the place really was. She sighed and opened her bag. She pulled out a bright dark green gown, a black corset, black ballet flats and a silver head piece that looked extreamly mid evil with a green gem in the middle of it. "We'll," she started examining the items. "If its not going to be of any use in that damned school play, why waist it?" She took of her t shirt and tossed the dress on quickly. She took a few moments to adjust it before she laced up the corset. She winced as it tightened around her, but she managed to keep her composer enough to finish the job. Then she discreetly shuffled her shorts off and let the dress flow around her. She stepped into the ballet flats and made her way across the uncut grass towards the castle ruins. She made heresy inside it and found a simple rock that looked like it may have once been a thrown. She sat on it and took out a note book and a pencil. 'The best places to find inspiration is in places of great meaning.' She could hear her music teachers words in her mind. Her only stable grade was in Mr. Nightingales music class. She began to furiously write. Ideas filling her head in abundance of painful memories. Finally after a few hours she was finished. Her first Sonata. With additional words. Because what is a song without words. 'Now you need a title.' She thought before scribbling one down "I miss you." She shrugged. "Works for me." She stood and looked around to see if anyone was watching. Pleased to see the rest of the garden deserted, she looked at her work again and cleared her throat.

His wings beat steadily as he flew towards were they first met. He couldn't believe he was returning. It wasn't like him to have sentimental value to the place of his greatest defeat. Yet something was pulling him towards it.
He circled the garden before landing in a tree. He fluttered his feathers spilling glitter on the ground below. What was he doing here? He had greater matters to attend to, so why was he here? He snorted in frustration and was about to leave when his ears coughs hold of a female voice. He turned his head in horror. This voice was familiar. He launched into the air and followed the voice. The closer he got the more it sounded like... Like Her.
He found a hollow place in the demolished castle and glared down at the mortal below. From a distance she could be mistaken for a Fae. But now that he looked closer, it was her. "Sarah, the one who has no power over me." He softly spoke as he watched her.

"No no no.., that's not right." She spoke quickly, tightening her grip on the sonata. "May more like this?" She cleared her throat again and let her heart poor out.
"The pearly fluids dripping off the tips of my fingers
have been stained crimson
by my painfully yearning thoughts for you.
No matter how long I shed tears for you,
you just won't understand the meaning behind my tears' color"
"My wandering fingers were trembling
from their loss of a place to go;
if you hadn't found me,
I probably wouldn't have chosen you.
If I forfeit my voice,
I'd probably be able to stay with you,
but then I would never be allowed to see another daybreak"
"Stay by me. I want you, please.
Take my hands, and take me there.
I miss you so much.
This distance between us is driving me crazy."
"Only you, I only want you, please.
Right now, take me there.
I miss you this much.
My pain would not go away."
"Even though the moon is shining brightly tonight,
I can't even sing a song for you anymore.
Swept by waves of people, I have reached a place
even more frigid than the bottom of the sea."
"The target of your smile
changed at some point.
If I hadn't noticed that,
would things have remained unchanged?
"Correct" should be a word
too weighty for anyone to say,
so I'm still here, immobilized."
"Stay by me. I want you, please.
Take my hands, and take me there.
I miss you so much.
This distance between us is driving me crazy."
"Only you, I only want you, please.
Right now, take me there.
I miss you this much.
My pain would not go away."
"chained down by a fleeting promise.
Is this promise really inexpressible in words
unless one of us were to disappear?"
"Stay by me. I want you, please.
Take my hands, and take me there.
I miss you so much.
This distance between us is driving me crazy."
"Only you, I only want you, please.
Right now, take me there.
I miss you this much.
My pain would not go away..."

Jareth blinked. If one looked closely one could see a small glittery tear leave his eye. But Fae don't cry, so it was most likely a trick of the eyes. Is this how she really felt? Was the time she spent alone in this world truly that awful for her? And to think all this could have been avoided if she just stayed with him in the first place. And if it was so bad, why did she not call upon him again? She had the power to. So why didn't she? He looked down at her puzzled as she rampaged angrily through the castle ruins.

"Damit!" Sarah struck her body against a rock pillar. What was wrong with her? She knew she missed the labyrinth. Hell she even missed the goblins! But HIM? It seamed impossible, but did she actually miss HIM? She picked herself off the pillar and resumed her rampage screaming at the top of her lungs "Damn you! You and your overly tight pants with your god like over confidant smirk and.. And.. AND YOUR GLITTER!"
She looked to the sky. "If you did care for me why didn't you come back? Why did you have to leave my here as I watch my life fall to pieces?! Is this some cruel punishment for defying you?" She started to cry. "I need you ok! I've always needed you! I've needed your tight pants and your smirk and your glitter! Just please, please take me back!" She fell to the floor, her sonata thoroughly crumpled, and weeped.
"Now now Sarah. That request doesn't even start with 'I Wish'. You know the right words, but you never say them correctly."
In a large poof of glitter Jareth had appeared behind her in the shadows. He looked annoyed and refused to look strait into her teary gaze.
Sarah stood. She was pale. Like she just saw a ghost. She smiled at the sight of him. Then frowned and tossed on of her shoes at him hitting him in the shoulder. He winced in surprise at it hit him.
"You fool!" She shouted at him, "Out of all the days, you chose now to come when i beg?!" She tossed her other shoe at him, this time however he caught it at threw it on the ground.
"Sarah. That's not nice. I don't like you throwing things at me." He said in a firm and angered tone.
That made her mad. She lunged towards him and started to beat at his chest. "You! You left me here! All alone and confused! And with a dangerous hope that you would return. Now look at my life!" He grabbed her wrists as to stop her week display of anger. She stopped fighting him and fell, sobbing. "I'm living in hell and all you did was send me away and leave me to suffer!"
Jareth forced her to stand. "You foolish child." His grip on her arms was strong and almost painful. "I waited for two years hopping you would summon me back. You, and only you can willingly summon me to your side. All these years I waited and thought you had forgotten about me."
Sarah wanted to snap back, but he was right. She had tried her very best to forget about him, and the labyrinth. She hung her head. "I did try to forget you. But I couldn't. Every day I tried to block you from my thoughts. But I couldn't. No matter what I did you were always the center of my focus." She looked him in the eyes. "I'm sorry. And... I'm willing to leave all this behind. Everything. If you will just take me back. With you."
Jareth let her go. He fought every urge to speak his mind. But instead turned around and started to leave her. "I guess you couldn't stay. But only if you don't cause any trouble." He held out a hand to her.
She rushed to take it. "I won't be any trouble, I swear. Just get me out of this world. Get me out and away from these horrible memories."
He nodded and with a flash of smoke and glitter they both her back. Back to the goblin kingdom that Sarah would have to learn to call home. But more importantly. She was back. With him. It was going to take a bit to get back on his good side, if he even has one. But it was worth it.
She skipped behind him as he walked. She never wanted to leave his side. Never again.
The only thing that was left of Sarah's existence on the upper world was the crumpled sonata that she left in the garden that somehow found its way into Mr. Nightingales office. He has since composed the song, then framed the crumpled piece of paper it in his office.
