Music could inspire artists to create brilliant works. There's no matter on genre, vocal or melody. When we experience strong emotions, music makes them even stronger. Very often while listening to music some great ideas come to our minds. Perhaps all of us know it really well.

But I wanted this article to be about a violin in art as there are many great examples here, on deviantART.
I would like to bring together some really great works connected with it.

Some interesting details:
- the most expensive violin was the Lady Tennant Stradivarius. It was sold in April 2005 for 2.03 million US dollars,
- the term "violin" was firstly used in 1523 in Italy,
- the first image connected with violin was a painting in Saint Christopher's Church in Vercelli ("Madonna degli aranci" by Gaudenzio Ferrari).

Violin & Cello Manips, OH MY!

I remember taking violin lessons when in school and these wonderful digital artworks brought back memories. Oh how I hated those lessons!
But this is about the visual art and after seeing several deviations with such creativity & beauty, I can look upon my old violin in a new light!

Lotus

In Egyptian mythology, the Lotus is associated with the sun, because it bloomed by day and closed by night. The Lotus is even believed to have given birth to the sun.

The Lotus flowers, seeds, young leaves and rhizomes are all edible. In Asia, the petals are sometimes used for garnish, while the large leaves are used as a wrap for food.

The Lotus is one of the eight auspicious signs of Buddhism - an eight petalled lotus used in Buddhist mandalas symbolizes cosmic harmony, a thousand petalled Lotus, spiritual illumination.

The roots of the Lotus are planted in the soil of the pond or river bottom, while the leaves float on top of the water surface. The Lotus flowers are usually found on thick stems rising several centimeters above the water

The violin was officially designed by Andrea Amati, an Italian lute maker. Amati was asked to build the violin as a lighter alternative to the lyre.

Violin strings are made from a variety of materials, such as various types of steel, nylon, silk, perlon and real animal gut wrapped in aluminum or silver or even gold. The gut strings are often referred to as "cat gut" but are in fact made from the intestines of sheep.

Violins these days are constructed from over 70 pieces of wood.

Antonio Stradivarius is responsible for creating possibly the best violin in the world, aptly named the Stradivarius.

Here, just click this journal, and then you can just watch the video in the header, no need to even click a link, isn't that nice. I love this skin.
Anyway, I went and played my violin thingy and this is the video and this time it even went ok. :0
And uh it's normal that it doesn't work cuz the video hasn't downloaded yet so just wait 5 minutes but I'm posting it now because I have to run. As always.

You guys I seriously think Electric Violins are the absolute coolest things ever.
Oh gosh, how bad I want one.

Not that I don't love my baby Flute (Which is actually the funky name of my violin) But gosh these just give me the chills when played.

And now I'm having all these ideas swarm my head and I want to make an OC of an Electric violin.
O-O...that sounds amazing...
