This is our first official news post on dA! We want to show our appreciation to all of our members and future members by showcasing some of the works which have been submitted into our gallery.

Because of them and you we have reached past 20,000 pageviews not that that matters but it is a big achievement when you look back to the small club we started out as.

Yes indeed we are back!

It has been a while since we did our first news post, TattooAddicted Member Features Vol. 1, since it has been so long and we have had a cascade of new members and submissions we're at it again! So please enjoy your addiction!

Japanese Tattoo Contest

Here's the details

THEME

JAPANESE

The tattoo must either be japanese style or japanese related (things like tigers, dragons, japanese symbols etc) If the piece has no japanese feeling to it, it will be disregarded from the contest.

SUBMISSIONS

Must be a new submission (On or after 25th March).
Must be submitted to the Contest folder within the group.
One submission per deviant (So make it a good one!).
Both designs & photos are accepted. Photo's however must be new, no cheating please! If a judge feels strongly that they think someone is cheating they will be disqualified and kicked out of the group.

Tattoo-A-Wonder-Woman _{(& her man)} Contest!

Make your mark on our beloved $Moonbeam13! The Fan Art Department brings to you a contest where you combine your creativity and enthusiasm to create a piece of artwork fit for a Wonder Woman (and her man!) Our FANtastic Director of Artist Relations is looking to get inked, and who better to step up to the challenge than our spectacular deviants?

The Challenge

Part 1: Wake your muse up and create a fantastic tattoo design of your depiction of Wonder Woman for consideration by $Moonbeam13!

Part 2: Don't let your muse fall asleep yet! Submit a tattoo design for $Moonbeam13's significant other! The design will include Johnny Quest AND Wonder Woman!

Designs must be stylish, and the design will be for the upper left part of the arm. Pin-up style is the preferred style. It may be in color or in black or white, and creativity is key.

The Requirements

They must submit the design within deadline

They can submit as many designs as they want

Each person should try to submit a piece to each part so that the two tattoos match up. (Not a requirement, but a likelier chance of getting chosen)

You do NOT have to submit a tattoo towards both parts, you can submit a tattoo just for $Moonbeam13 or just for her significant other, but it would be nice to have matching styles!

Please, remember to follow all deviantART rules when creating this image!

Hello I just needed to do a feature with lovely pictures with Tattoos.
Some of the pictures are manips but not many of them. But it shows how you can take a cool/lovely/beautiful picture and still show your tattoos..

Yeah im sooo bored about the extremely ugly pictures some people take to have a show off for their tattoos so please, you guys who take ugly pictures of your tattoos you can make them cool

Ink the Designs & Interfaces GD Contest!

For those of you who didn't catch my journal about this...this is the dealeo!

I am getting some ink done.
This is something that I have wanted for a long time and is very near and dear to me because on my left arm is a tattoo with my Daughters names and this one will be dedicated to my son....and I want it incorporated into this piece I already have

Guidelines

I want something that matches what I have now as in Celtic And Tribal mixed to fill in the area I have highlighted in green. I'd like it to fill in as much of my upper arm as it can.

I don't want anything super extravagant though...I want it to nicely flow with the rest of the tat and all kind of tie together.

I want my Sons name (Sebastian) above the tat I have now in the green area, as this tattoo is dedicated to him.

and I have to tell ya....I think I have some of the most awesome kick ass friends EVER

Tattoo Drawing Contest

I hate my first tattoo, I love the concept, it's a part of me, but the image, is unsatisfying.

Originally, I had a lot more put into it; stars, music notes, some lines and swirls for more design, but that drawing is long gone and no longer really in my memory at all even. (It was 6 years ago) Once I saw the wings, I had her stop, I already knew it was going badly. I understand there is really no fixing the wings.

What I want, is some design around the original tattoo.

Some things you should know...

*This is on my right calf, the ankle is where it is, there are no other tattoos around it. You have my entire leg to work with, but try to keep it limited to my lower calf. (5 inches above the top of the tattoo).

*You do not need to draw my leg into the image unless you go onto my foot, then, please make it clear.

*I'd like music notes and stars incorporated into it as well as some designs. You are free to be creative, you can add other things, but please keep it tasteful.
(If you can find a way, I wouldn't mind an amp somehow put into this.)

*The winning design may be modified, but no matter, you WILL get credit. If you have some sort of 'signature' you can fit into the design, please feel free. I cannot guarantee I will use it, but if it's not obvious and tasteful, I will put it there.

*I have spoken with the artist that will do the tattoo, you WILL keep all copy-rights. He may take a photo, but will NOT take credit, you WILL be given credit.

*When it is finished, I will put it on dA, linking back to your image and your account.

*You must draw the guitar (not necessarily identical) into the design so I can see where things should go

*You can download the deviation, print it, copy it, I don't care.
(If you need a better quality photo, let me know.)

*You can use digital or traditional, I don't care.

Design My Tattoo

I'm coming close to a point where I can get my sleeve tattoo done, but I've got a problem. I know what I want, but I just don't have the skills to draw it out myself, plus I'd really like to see other people's ideas, so I want to see what you can come up with and if I pick your drawing, not only will it become my new tattoo (along with lots of pictures and hearty thank yous), but I'll throw in a prize for your troubles

Guidelines:

This is going to be a 3/4 sleeve. That means it's going to start at the midpoint of my forearm and go up around the shoulder. If you need references, the length is 20" and you can figure out the width by wrapping a piece of paper or something around your own arm and estimating. (The tattooer can always retrace it to fit the size of my arm if need be)

The subject is ravens/crows. My idea is having them all in flight, starting with them small and sparse towards the wrist (like they're in the distance) and getting bigger and closer as it goes up to the shoulder.
Feel free to play around with the idea and try out whatever style you want. Keep in mind that I'm leaning towards a black and gray piece, but am not against having a little bit of color in there.

Any style or medium will do. Submit your design here and send me a note with a link to it.

Deadline is January 16th.
