Hi,

I get quite a few questions about using my photos as reference or part of artwork. I would like to take this time to update the rules about this.

Please ask for my permission BEFORE using my art. People tend to send me links to their finished works telling me they used my pictures. I don't like that too much because I would like to know beforehand what you are using the pics for.

Always give proper credit to me as the photographer, especially if you do photomanipulations.
Send a note to me with the link back to your work when you're done. Don't just put the link to a comment because it's sometimes hard to spot and might get lost. (I want to know where my photos are used)

Do NOT copy my photos and use them on other sites, especially without my permission. That is very rude and a violation to my copyright.

I don't allow my photos to be used on SIMgames.

Other than that, I am flattered that people like my work so I usually give the permission if you just ask nicely. :)

Thanks a lot and nice springtime to everyone!

Explosive

Boo-yah! This was a photo taken by :iconflocha:, who I discovered from looking around :iconmichellewalker:'s bi-monthly article "Horsin' Around".

This photo is pretty self-explanitory when it comes to her work. Many of her early photos include a horse picture here in there, but there were mostly abstract art with human subjects. However, her most recent page of artwork, filled with horses and dogs, tells a different story.

I particularly like how realistic her photos are, like they weren't planned at all (which they probably weren't), yet they still manage to look spectacular. Just looking through her gallery brings up the dream of a beautiful farmland, with animals roaming free all around. Makes me want to travel to Finland. :)

So to floCha and all other aspiring artists out there, keep up the good work!
