We got our school Yearbooks last night and there is a page full of cute and funny quotes from the little 5-year-old preppies :) My favourite one reads:

A group of preps discussing if boys can be dancers.
Teacher:
Actually, one of the most famous ballet dancers was a man.
Child: Yeah, and I know his name. It's Justin Bieber.

I don't think I ever laughed so hard at something school related... or small-children related! This kid, whoever it was, is a freakin' legend!

Peace, love and rock out.

One day, I will do this. I will buy many blankets, sheets, pillows, etc, and turn my whole house into a blanket fortress, right from the front door to the bathrooms... probably not the kitchen, that might be a bit hazardous. But still! I think it would be fun, even if just for a few hours.

It would be especially fun to enjoy living in a blanket fort if I was with a special someone at the time ;) He knows who he is. *coughAaroncough* :)

SO!

Did anyone else see the Hurt concert the other day/night, either live or streamed online? I watched it online :) Well, I caught the end of it anyway, it was pretty good

In other news, my last year of school, omg! The workload isn't too bad, just a lot of reading for English and Literature. I'm analyzing the movie Deja Vu Denzel Washington in Media and I'm keeping on top of my maths work. So it's all good :) I'm lucky to have such a small load of classes!

That'll be all for now.

Peace, love and rock out.

We had our school talent show during lunchtime today. There were good acts and bad acts, but one that stood out to me most was when a girl with down syndrome sang The Climb by Miley Cyrus. She sounded bloody awful, but I was so happy to see that the student body were decent enough to cheer her on and clap for her. Of course some idiots snickered and laughed at her, but the simple human kindness of the good people in the room blocked them out and put them to shame. This girl had really wanted to do be in the talent show, and she was absolutely overjoyed by the reaction the school gave her. Glad to say this was a good experience for the kid!

I think it's absolutely wonderful to be able to live in a society where kids with disabilities can be supported and feel encouraged. There were plenty of kids without down syndrome who sang and sounded just as bad, so why shouldn't we give a kid like that an equal chance? Brave kid getting up there, and I heard that her mother had been really worried that everyone would make fun of her. I'm so happy that she had a good experience.

I just thought I'd share how happy I am for this girl. I hope she has many more experiences like this throughout her life. I just about shed a tear of joy for her!

Peace, love and rock out.

NOW BEFORE YOU GET TOO EXCITED, NO IT WAS NOT MY NOVEL! That's still in the process of being redrafted.

What I DID get published was a short story, and it has been published in the SpineOut online magazine. I'm pretty sure it was the February 2012 edition. If anyone can tell me how to subscribe/otherwise access it, that would be great, because there is nothing more frustrating than being published and unable to access the proof.

If you want more details (what the story is called, how I found out it had been published), check out my blog, particularly this post right here: [link]

... That if and when I get a dog of my own, I think I'd like a Staffie :D

Today, walking home from the fish and chip shop with a friend with our lunch, one was following us. I kinda freaked out because I don't like dogs much (I've had bad experiences, long story...) and we both thought it was a pitbull. He wasn't scared, he loves dogs. So we went inside, and as I'm getting drinks for us in the kitchen, the dog comes up the driveway and is sitting outside the window. I'm banging on the window, trying to make it go away... so it goes into the back yard instead.

Dumb dog, I thought! So my friend and I, (me being very cautious...) go out the back to see if we can get it to leave.

IT WAS SO CUTE! And friendly! :D Not aggressive in the slightest. It had a collar with contact details for the owner, so we got it to sit out the front with us and we called the owner. In the 10 minutes we had with it, I grew quite attached to the thing and was actually really sad to see it go. My friend wanted to kidnap it.

Now we're discussing going to the owners house and asking if we can dog-sit for him :) The collar had the address on it too, so we know where they live!

So yeah, I want a staffie!!

Peace, love and rock out.

This will be short and to the point because I know you guys aren't dumb.

First go look at the breedsheet and junk to get colors right.
USE COLOR PICKER. Seriously, use color picker to get the colors right.

Don't hand out rare patterns and colors out like candy. Doing uncommon colors and patterns isn't that much of a problem.
I guess note me and make sure I want them a rare Appy sent out; that would be the best way.

To do the Appa appaloosa pattern Google an image of the requested pattern. And then add your own little touches to it.

I really don't mind what you do just as long it's not an ultra rare one all the time. I want what the person requested to be fulfilled or at least closely met.

Here's imports that need done:

=TsonianFieldsRanch
Gender: Filly
Color: Black Leopard (Maybe with a grey gene)
Reason for Import: We're slowly expanding into Western eventing with more ferver, and our two Western stars so far have been American Quarter Horse Scenequines. We really like the way Inkblot, the resident Apparoama, is takint to his training, so we'd love to get a small filly to put into this regime as well.
Future Discipline: Cattle cutting, Reigning
-requested color is fine-

=SlayerMoon98
Horse #1
Gender: Filly
Color: Red Dun Blanket
Future Discipline: All-Around Western, specializing in Barrel Racing.

Horse #2
Gender: Colt
Color: Classic Champagne with Snowcap
Future Discipline: He'll also be used for Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.
-requested colors are fine-

*Psynthesis
Gender: One stallion, one mare please.
Color: Not terribly important, but I would love to see a silver bay or an amber champagne.
Reason for Import: My goodness, I still cannot believe I missed this breed when it came out- they are everything I love in a horse. Big, Roman noses, loud colouration, height... They’re simply gorgeous. Elysium is certainly lacking western breeds, and these horses would be an incredible asset to our stables.
Future Discipline: Trail (with a smattering of Endurance) - we are a relatively casual stable, though we do try to enter every horse we have in at least one or two competitions every year. While none of our staff focus explicitly on the western disciplines, we are more than willing to learn and have had trail champs in the past!
-requested colors are fine-

Please note them to make sure they still want their import. I know there are more but I cannot find their import notes.
I'll add more once I know but as for right now imports are closed until these are done and such.
