Fred/George: Hellooo ladies!
George: Love potions, eh? Yeah, they really do work.
Fred: Then again, the way we hear it sis, you're doing just fine on your own.

Valentine's Day Competition

Urp, yeah, it's that time again. Shop fronts vomited with pink, love hearts donning every surface, forced romantic dates, "cute" cuddly bears and other equally bug-eyed stuffed creatures litering every shelf.. I'm afraid it's that time again. It's Valentine's Day. Not that I particularly dislike Valentine's Day. It's just that I'd much rather celebrate Bulgarian Drinking Day - a much more worthwhile celebration (hurrah beer! ). I guess I'm not much of a romantic. Last Valentine's Day I discovered a box of chocolates scattered symbolically across the street - evidently the result of a lover's tiff - and proceeded to eat them while watching another couple's very entertaining public argument. I love mooching off the tragedies of others. :XD:

But all that aside, it's Valentine's Day and who doesn't enjoy a wee bit of romance - especially when Fred and George are involved? ;) So enter your couple fanart to the club's new competition! All will be featured in a special Valentine's Day themed journal and the winner will receive a picture of their couple drawn by yours' truly.

Mini Valentine's Day Competition

What is accepted

:bulletgreen: Submit a picture of your favourite pairing
:bulletgreen: The pairing must involve either Fred or George
:bulletgreen: Slash is accepted
:bulletgreen: Mild nudity/mild sexual scenes accepted

What is not accepted

:bulletred: Obviously this is a Re-Fredding club, so we won't accept any angsty FRED RIP work
:bulletred: No extreme adult/sexual situations
:bulletred: The usual submission guidelines are in effect i.e. no submissions on lined paper, photographs of pictures, manips etc.  This club hosts a certain quality of art and we'd definitely like to keep it that way. ^^

Competition closes on Feb 28th, so get cracking!

Yes we're going for a couple theme here. ;)

:star: Week #2: Fred x Angelina

:star: Week #3: George x Luna

:star: Week #4: George x the girl from Ottery St. Catchpole

LOL is it just me or does George get a LOT more action in this club?

Happy Valentine's Day to those who celebrate it and good day to those  who don't celebrate it for whatever reason they have. I'm sure some of you had a good time with your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife and had a nice dinner with them or went to the movies, or whatever you did with them. As for me, I'm still single for now and I hope later on I find someone

I'm sure some of you guys have heard of this a month ago or a couple of weeks since it has passed, but George Lucas has decided to quit the Star Wars franchise since he got tired of  criticism by his haters saying he's raping his own franchise because of the prequels, Jar Jar, and the changes in the original Star Wars trilogy that he's basically saying Fuck It and no longer wants to do anything with Star Wars.

Here's a couple of links talking about Lucas quitting Star Wars:

I don't know who to blame? The critics who whine and bitch about every little detail in Star Wars? Or Lucas quitting and acting like a whiny little pussy?

Please leave comments on what you think

Pretty  soon he might quit Indiana Jones since South Park and other critics accused Indy 4 of raping that franchise

...walk into a bar.  The bartender looks up and says, "What is this? A joke?"

I turned 26 this weekend.  Presents included clothes that I needed, some stuff I bought off Amazon.com and a new Droid from Roo.

Also of note, if you need to e-mail me, I'm using Damon(DOT)Husky(AT)gmail(DOT)com now.

I had a good birthday.  It involved spending the morning with my parents, who took me for sushi, and some presents.  They also had awesome lemon cake that I really enjoyed.  Then I drove up to Logan and spent the evening with my Roo, and Valentines Day.

Since Presidents Day is one of the few days that closes the Stock Market out-right, they didn't need us at work today, and I was able to spend a bonus night with Roo.

Came back this evening feeling very happy and rested, and ready for work tomorrow.

Also, I finished The Magicians by Lev Grossman and really liked that.  It's like Harry Potter if J.K. Rowling ever let him through puberty.

And my good friend Atari Otter has a new story up on FurAffinity.  It's very well written and totally SFW so please head on over and read The Crimson Jewel (link).  I'm sure he'd appreciate any feedback!

Thank you all!

I was going to rant about the commodification of romance (as in, the sale of emotions) inherent in a post-Industrial capitalist country, but then I decided to just give you this:
