Thicker Than BloodWhen the truck ran out of gas I left it.   
There.  
 
Right in the middle of the road where it had sputtered and died.  
 
I had stolen it from men who wanted to slaughter me.   
They murdered my family. Not my real family but my shiny new one. Hacked their heads from their bodies in the name of God, country and what ever. Then the men carried them around like trophies that still held the look of gaping horror, that open mouth unfinished scream.

THE LAST JIMENO     There was hardly a rustle as a weak wind blew at the top of the hill where the gallery stood overlooking the glittering lights of Los Angeles. Shafts of moonlight, intangible knives, sliced through the heavy dark of the unlit halls. At the farthest end of an enclosed space were two figures, as motionless as the statues and paintings within.       One of the figures was a young woman whose long, sable hair cascaded around her as she lay in the hands of the other. Bloody MaryI could tick off the number of  stupid things I had done in the past five minutes on one hand.  First, would be going to the stupid Halloween dance in the first place.  Second, running away from the dance.  Lastly, why the hell did I even bother wearing a white dress to the stupid dance when it was raining?  I had to get away just to feel like nobody was going to stare through my dress.   
It was pouring down rain and lightning peppered the sky.  My first and foremost thought was shelter, and then I could decide what to do.

Just A Cute Halloween Story
Blood of Rose RedThere once was a woman by the name of Rose Red,  She had blood crimson lips, and curly locks on her head.  Adorned with a golden crown and bracelets of pearl,  She was coveted by man, and envied by girl.  But there was a secret that no one could ever know,  Rose Red never stayed that innocent little doe.  Every moonless midnight when the clock struck twelve,  She grew horns, fangs, an fur, and loped to where devils dwell.  Rose Red feasted on fantasy, children, and joy,  Whatever she found, 'twas her new heartless toy.  But at dawn every morning, the woman transformed,  She was a pale, fr Blood of Rose Red
Black Birds   "Seven blackbirds sitting in a tree~" The woman’s voice carried down the hallway, accompanied by the man's screams.     Her vibrant green eyes, which seemed so vibrant with life, yet so full of death, stared down at the sobbing man. Halloween HellhoundThe burning fires, the pits of hell,  That is where this creature does dwell.  Blood red eyes filled with anger and hate,  Glare at all with the wish to cremate.  She lusts for blood and destruction,  And for many dead bodies to feast upon.  All that surrounds her is pain and death,  Not one creature left with breath.  She howls her bloodlust to the sky,  And all around cower at her cry.  They fear her coming, they want to live,  Their lives they are not willing to give.  They run away but are caught,  None survive her vicious onslaught. The PaintingMy mother bought a painting from a nearby thrift shop a week before the accident, but I didn’t connect the two events until seven months afterwards, when the figure appeared. She began as a sketch next to the garden fountain, hectic red lilies painted behind the outline of my mother’s back. I didn’t pay much attention at first, but began to notice when the garden pathway appeared like white dust on the hallway carpet, chipped away to make way for a white nightgown. By then I walked with my head down whenever I passed the painting the hall, and began to worry as the figure became more pronounced. It didn’t seem possible any The Painting
Dancing with monstersMesmerizing, hypnotizing,  
I know your wild scream.  Your teeth sharpened like razors  all polished and agleam.   
Whirring, chopping, chewing  they have vanished in the light.  Slicing cleanly, crying meanly,  you want blood tonight.   
Despite your vicious appetite  you spit things at my head.  Your aim is true and nasty  my brow is dripping red.   
Our dance it must continue  though mostly I am blind.  You howl and scream and still you spit.  You never have been kind.

What be it that crawls in the night, that man fears and to which the wicked pay homage?  Be it the fairytales of our childhood, the ramblings of the man, insane, on the street corner; perhaps, it may be that man fears himself the most.  Here is a tale wherein man sees his greatest error.  In thus, he realizes his fears, perhaps in time to save his self from, explicitly, himself.  We shall begin where it always begins, with a look at the demented soul trapped in the focus of our story.  -  Be it an imbalance of the mind or horrific memories that plague him, El Machine Man

In the wind as it howled  Through the forest so dark,  It was as though it had fouled  The rest of this park.   
It stumbled and crawled  It wailed and it moaned  As I looked it bawled  A hideous groan.   
With eyes of deep white  It's pupils gone,  I pondered my plight;  It was well before dawn.

Trick Or Treat?A single leaf fell from an old oak tree. As soon as it hit the ground it was crushed to pieces by a black leather boot. The teenage girl wearing that leather boot went by the name Shay. She and her two friends agreed to meet there once they did some tricks and got handfuls of treats from each house.  
 
Shay’s backpack-like bag was almost full with candy she got from one house. The people who lived there had a sign that said only take one piece of candy. Of course, Shay took the whole thing. She straightened her witch’s hat as she sat down by the oak’s trunk and pondered over the black cat that watched her take the bo Trick Or Treat?
The Darkness Has Been EmbalmedThe darkness has been embalmed,  saved for the dilation of pupils.  Water drops echo the void of ill  illumination, the mossy slick stone floor  is presumably protecting permafrost,  and only a single occupied chair prevents this room  from becoming a black hole.   
A whimpering can be heard--like howling  creatures of the night--only muffled  by stitched lips: the victim  of an unperceived reality, a truth only  viewed cinematically in all its maniacal  possibilities.

Sally, a ghost storyHe was lying wounded on the battle field, when she approached, and knelt beside him. Tenderly she put her hand on his head and spoke.   
“They are coming for you soon, It will be alright”   
He groaned   
“They will be here,” she said, “Don’t worry”   
He was enjoying her presence, Her gentle hand upon his head. Her kind words.   
“I have to go now, but they will be here in a moment”

Let Me Bring it Out of You“Mph!” Karla exclaimed through muffled lips as the sweaty man before her sealed her scream with a kiss. A very…deep kiss, deeper than she thought necessary considering the reasoning behind it.
