RAREMON

This might be one of my first pieces of "fanart," ever. Not the start of a trend, no, but I did a random search for "Raremon" and found positively no drawings of this fantastic Digimon character, so I thought I'd correct the injustice with this quick Flash doodle.

Raremon is obviously the coolest-looking and most lovable of all the several-hundred Digital monsters; a crawling, blubbery mound of rotten meat and scrap metal with the ability to puke powerful acid. Sadly, it digi-volves neither from nor into anything remotely similar.

I can't help noticing that the earliest chapters of the Digimon franchise had a focus on exceedingly grotesque monsters, with even the major "good" monsters looking like bug-eyed, veiny, snaggle-toothed genetic accidents. Over time, the series art style shifted to cleaner, cuter, prettier and increasingly less creative designs, which seems to have been the point at which it began to earn its current fandom.

RAREMON'S RAREMON ADVENTURE:

ONE DAY ALL OF THE DIGIMONS DECIDED TO DIGIVOLVE TO RAREMONS. ESPECIALLY ALL THE RENAMONS BECAUSE THEY WERE SICK OF BEING FURRIES. THEN ALL THE DIGIMONS WERE ALL THE SAME AND DID NOT FIGHT ANY MORE. EXCEPT FOR PEOPLE BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE TASTY. ALL OF THE RAREMONS FOUGHT ALL OF THE PEOPLE AND WON. THE WORLD BECAME AN EDEN. MANKIND WERE BUT CATTLE TO THEIR GLORIOUS OVERLORDS. RAREMON SAID "BOY IT IS SURE GOOD TO BE DONE WITH OUR RAREMON ADVENTURE!" AND THEN HIS FRIEND RAREMON SAID "YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN!" AND THEN RAREMON SAID "BOY IT IS SURE GOOD TO BE DONE WITH OUR RAREMON ADVENTURE!" AND THEN THEIR FRIENDS THE RAREMONS LAUGHED AND LAUGHED WHILE THE STORY ENDED AND THE COMMERCIALS STARTED. THEY WERE COMMERCIALS FOR AN EVEN BETTER CARTOONS CALLED POKEMANS. EVERYBODY WON FOREVER.
