The office looked quite normal that day. Souvenirs from older cases were filling the closet, colonies of unknown species were building themselves on the pinkish doughnut box that lay at the window, Max was sleeping upside-down on the couch that smelled like a mixture of cheeseballs and Glazed McGuffins and Sam sat on his desk chair, trying to get to an itching at his back.
