The snow sparkles, twirling in the sky, the flakes dappling our view

Each blade, each curve, a miracle, a perfection that only you saw
you who have no eyes, but could see so much more clearly then any of us
If only I had had your vision, perhaps things would have been different
Perhaps I could have known, held on longer....
For the winter now falls, each cold fleck against my skin and fur,
the soft dew covering my wings and moistening my feathers
I quiver and bend my head low, mane blowing chilly in the wind
