Mass Effect After Omega
Prologue
The scream of gun fire rang throughout the room, Team 2 lead by Garrus held the line against the constant swarm of Collectors they never seemed to end. Sheppard had been gone for only ten minutes and already the breached door was starting to fill with bodies. Tali crawled over to where Garrus was perched with his sniper "looks like Omega for you all over again". Garrus could not help but laugh at the irony "well.. at least it isn't mercs or krogans this time". An explosion erupted in the middle of the kill zone, "No we get servants of Reapers hell bent on making human soup".
Garrus stepped out and took a shot at a lonely Collector

LIARA T'SONI
10:00 PM Trafalgar Field Hospital, Trafalgar Square London.
The cries of the wounded were everywhere, while the smell of medi-gel and disinfect spray overwhelmed her. She had seen a field hospital before only a few weeks ago on her home world of Thessia. Back then however the Reapers had the upper hand, decimating her people and their proud cities. If that didn't bring the reality of the war home to her nothing would have. Liara T'Soni is

"Guys, next time we decide to go take down a Collector Base, remind me to BRING SOMEONE THAT KNOWS OVERLOAD! Or hell, Warp would be nice!" Commander Vi Shepard yelled, the Soldier obviously pissed as they were reaching the center of the Collector Base.
"Shepard, we have ammo," Tali said, slightly annoyed.
"...That does not help with our current situation with the stupid Collector Guardians that keep trying to snipe us!" she yelled, her voice being drowned out by a roar from the giant human looking-robot. "Not to mention that there's a flippin' Human Reaper that's literally trying to kill u

Chapter 5: Redemption of the Truth
Ashley rested upon the stretcher, her bruised and helmetless head laid on the pillow, while several doctors rushed her down the hallway of the shipping dock. Shepard was jogging by their side. Despite the fact that they were already at the Citadel, Shepard’s concerned and worrisome mood did not change.
“Barely got a pulse here,” described one Human doctor.
“Move ‘em out,” called a Turian medic. Shepard, barely able to keep up anymore due to physical and mental exhaustion, said,
“Where are you taking her?”
“Huerta Memorial,” he answered. &l

Author's Notes - Q and A:
Once again, thanks to Bioware, everyone who contributed, those who inspired me, and all readers. I hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Here I will discuss my thought process for some of the story developments I went with...
So, first off, apologies for any typos, grammatical errors, etc. The story has gone through a couple of iterations. The branching nature of the work forced me to adjust my ideas. I have new-found respect for those poor souls at Bioware, who had tons more variables to work with. I can understand the ne

“We have bonding.”
“Is it progressing?”
“Yes, 4,000 base pairs and rising.”
“Stability?”
“84 percent.”
“I’ll contact the Illusive man, he’ll want to know the Project is a success.”
“We don’t know that yet?”
“Don’t presume to question me. Let me know when meiosis has begun.”
“Of course Mr. Lawson.”

Chapter 10: His Name Was Harper
It did not take long for the plant to start making an obnoxiously loud alarm throughout the cavern. Shepard knew that the energy wave wouldn't harm him or his team, but he thought it would be better to retreat from the caverns anyway, due to the disruption was causing some loose stalactites to fall. The squad pushed their way out of the tunnels as fast as they could, fighting off any enemy that got in their way, Husk, Collector, and even Orthus agents that just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although as the three soldiers ran through the stone passageways, Shepard saw a glimpse of the Av

Kelly Chambers had been transferred from the Normandy to the Saxon as soon as they’d landed on Omega. It was strange. While the new ship shared many similarities to Normandy, there were still many subtle differences, reminders of her time with Cerberus. She smiled as Samantha Traynor walked into the room carrying two cups of tea.
“God, but it’s good to see you Sam,” said Kelly, “I’ve been getting cabin fever here, cooped up playing guard duty with this one.”
Helena Blake was snoring on a makeshift cot, oblivious to their conversation.
“Seems like scintillating company,” l
Chapter 8: Omega’s Immortal
When Shepard entered Liara's repurposed office space, he almost forgot that Miranda used to work here from all the changes the Asari added to the room. There was an entire wall filled with nothing but monitors and computer equipment, all of them monitoring sectors of space, and the Crucible blueprints that she retrieved from Eva's head. The rest of the room also had a very large amount of mechanical equipment that Shepard couldn't even guess what it was. The first thing he asked Liara once she greeted him inside was,
“How the hell did you get all this stuff in here?”
“A Shadow Broker h

Mass Effect 3 -- Alternate Ending
Shepard's vision was engulfed in white light. Slowly, it coalesced into a bright spot, which dimmed to reveal the shape of a young boy.
The one that had died on Earth.
"Wake up," he said.
Shepard's mind shuddered with confusion, eyes darting around. The floor below was smooth polished metal. There were no walls. The stars above, the glowing curve of earth ahead, the Reapers still suspended in space. It was silent.
Shepard turned to the boy.
"What... where am I?"
"The Citadel. It's my home."
"Who are you?"
"I am the catalyst."
His voice made her skin crawl. Damn it, or maybe that was just the blood. "I thought the Citadel was
