DeviantART is getting a tremendous, positive response to our call for support for the application by DAdotART for the .ART domain.
We now have a special request for professional artists, art directors, creative directors, curators, educators and others employed directly in the arts to show their support in their professional capacities.
We also have a special request to members of the deviantART community who belong to organizations involved in the arts to submit an indication of support from the organization.

DeviantART announced a month ago that through a new organization, Dadotart we applied to manage a new Top Level Domain (TLD) called “.ART.” We are committed to having the .ART TLD — the Internet addresses that could end in .ART — organized and distributed with the full participation of the global art community.
We need your help!
We need your help to show public support for the Dadotart application. The application process to manage a TLD is long, arduous, and intricate. Help us gather as a true art-centric community. dA[dot]ART - Your help needed!deviantART recently announced that through a new organization, Dadotart — they applied to manage a new Top Level Domain (TLD) called “.ART.” The aim of this is to have the .ART TLD — the Internet addresses that could end in .ART — organized and distributed with the full participation of the global art community.
This doesn't mean that deviantART.com would change to deviantART.art (or deviant.art). The .ART TLD would service all of the arts, including art forms that deviantART doesn't handle - like the theater, music, dance and so on - and would allow people to have individual identities associated with the arts without going through a community like deviantART or YouTube.

DaDotArt.Hey!
At the top of your browser, beneath the URL bar and any toolbars you may have, there's a little white window that reads ".ART We need help!". Curiosity near killed the cat today when I clicked on it and spent the next hour or so of my life researching and understanding what it was that's requiring aid.
DeviantART is part of another company/group called DaDotArt, Inc. They are applying to become the moderators and managers for the new domain suffix .ART.
I support this and have sent ICANN the following comment:
I am commenting to support a website that has provided me with a place to make friends (through art), share ideas (through art) and improve my skills (through art).
I support that if DeviantART wants to make sure that ARTists have access and rights to the .ART TLD they are the right website for it. There are various ways to interpret "access and rights", if it begins with DeviantART.com becoming DeviantART.ART then so be it (I know that may not happen, I'm just saDaDotArt.10 months ago in Happenings

DadotartDadotart. Hm. I think that this would be an even more creative way for artists to identify themselves! Very unique. Um...
Europe was pleasant. My family spent a whole week in Garmisch Partenkirchen. The weather was lovely, the food was awesome and the people were awesome, too. After, we joined up with our school group in Munich. It got REALLY fast paced after that. We wet to Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, Germany, and a little bit of Lichtenstien. Every country was amazing! (My favorites were Austria, Switzerland, and Germany.)
When we were in France, we saw a Bugatti... Those things are worth millions of dollars.... .3. It was awesome..

I'm against DAdotART for a TLD....ART gTLD
I'm completely against DAdotART, Inc. and their goals to achieve a period and three letters to attain what they've already accomplished on DeviantART. So for you to better understand what's going on I highly suggest you read all the articles I linked below so that you're up to speed with what's going on. Because people are blindly supporting an effort with little to no information about what they are supporting.

DADOTART and Contest Support...Good Day to you all
This is ArtistaDeAlma22 spreading the word about the new web domain DeviantART is trying to support. The domain .ART, or DADOTART, is a domain that is suppose to spread more awareness on art theft and get more people to appreciate art. .ART is also the place where non-professional artists can share their works as a hobby and get support regardless. There have been some confusion by the DA members as to how .ART is different to DA. My guess is that the domain is suppose to be a public effort by the art community to get more upcoming artists recognized and have more people support them, along with getting more of the younger generation to appreciate other forms of art.
