“How could you, of all people, forget your lunch?” asked Lily. Lily, my best friend, looked at me incredulously. Her expression made her brown eyes look like they were going to pop out of her face.
I was very passionate about lunch.
“I don’t know, I was in a rush this morning!” I exclaimed.
“In a rush, as in, you didn’t have enough breakfast so you had to make more?” she smirked.
“Shut up,” I laughed. To be fair, it was pretty funny. My stomach growled in protest, and Lily and I burst into another fit of giggles.
