~Valuable Character Bio Creation Advice And Information~
• NONO: The BIGGEST nono for bios is putting something like “unknown” or “N/A” in a bio category of a character. First of all, why did you even include that category in your bio just to pass it up? It’s an eyeroll for a serious writer to see these things in bios. Even if the character or other characters don't know their name or even their age or parents, it should ALWAYS be listed in the bio. These are things that everyone has (unless they are a robot).

A bullet pointed list of things to consider when composing • Personal struggle: It’s kind of obvious that my art and style have improved and changed in the bit over a year that I have been making reference sheets and that I could compose more elaborate digital references for my characters, but I prefer constancy in this particular instance. a character reference sheet.
• The name of your character should always be listed somewhere, whether it’s in the title of the piece or on the image itself.
• The entire idea of the reference sheet is to show who your character is. It makes more sense to do a standard standin

Tips and advice for writing better angst
Before you start writing the most tragic back story ever for your character, I’d like to point out that not all good characters need angst. Its best if used sparingly and not the main focus of the plot. Also, just because someone’s OC has an angsty past, does not immediately make said character a Mary-Sue. If they have angst for all the wrong reasons, then they are a Mary-Sue.
If you are writing certain types of trauma (rape, child abuse, ect.) try to include a trigger warning, unless it is a fanfiction of something that possesses the same exact type of trauma.
Part one: Writing Angst in General

The links are in the description, please visit their versions too. This profile is ginormous, not every question may be relevant to your character. The main goal is to have a profile that is as complete as it can get, so not every question will need to be filled in. Add and remove as is needed as there's only few characters every question is relevant for. If you think questions should be added, commen

.:How To Make A Good Villain:.
• WHY: Why put so much effort into making “the bad guy”? The clear and obvious answer is that any and every character in your story who is well done would have a great impact on your story and also intrigue your readers. If they know you love your hero and put a lot of work into him, and didn’t really care about your villain because he was just going to lose anyway…what’s the point of even having a villain at all? Make your villains worth the attention, almost as much as the main group. Readers can love great villains just as much as great heroes. Keep it interesting.
• WHAT MAKES AN ANTAGONIST: Befo

Character Flaws - Emotional
Emotional flaws are an integral part of making your character likeable to your readers. Believe me when I say, the more perfect your character is, the more your readers are going to be turned off by him or her and the more likely they will be to drop the book and never read it or another one by you again.
The reason is: they won't be able to identify with the character. No one in this world is perfect. If you make a perfect character, your readers are going to feel inferior to that character and hate him/her. They're not going to like the fact that s/he is always right, always wins, always knows everything, always says the right thing, etc.,

To Create a Character
Are you starting a story? Do you have an incomplete, flawed, or no character at all? It's happened to me many times and in my struggles to perfect my creations, I have learned a few things. I present you with seven easy steps with a challenge each to get you thinking.
Grab a piece of paper and a pencil. Let's start
Step 1: Past
When creating a character, you must first establish a past. Even a person with amnesia has a past, they just don't remember it. Pasts are important, they show what shaped the person and why they are the way they are today.
If your character has a scar, why? If they have amnesia, why? If they have a phobia of
