I do not own Peanuts or Star Wars. On the Death Star, Darth Vader reports that his interrogation with Princess Leia didn’t go well. Darth Vader: Her will is strong; she has resistance to the mind probe. Tarkin had an idea. Tarkin: Well, there is one way we can make her talk. Darth Vader: What do you mean? Tarkin: I think we should test this battle station’s power on Alderaan. Set a course for the Alderaan system. Pilot: Yes sir. Tarkin received a communication from Melody-Melody. Tarkin: Yes Melody. Melody: Melody: I have found the two droids with the stolen plans. They are accompanied by two young children, a beagle, a farm boy and I think a hermit. They are heading to Mos Eisley. Tarkin: Eisley? We have troopers searching for the droids in Mos Eisley. Keep watch on them but don’t get too close. Melody-Melody: Got it. On Tatooine, Melody-Melody follows them to Mos Eisley. The group arrives at Mos Eisley, now patrolled by stormtroopers who are searching for the droids. Sally: What did I tell ya, this place is a dump. There are so many mean people here. They soon encounter two stormtroopers. Stormtrooper: Hold it. We need you to answer our… wait, are those the droids we’re looking for. Obi-Wan uses the force to pull a mind trick on them. Obi-Wan: These aren’t the droids you’re looking for. Stormtrooper: These aren’t the droids we’re looking for. Obi-Wan: We can be on our way. Stormtrooper: You can be on your way. Luke: Whoa, I thought we were in trouble here. Obi-Wan: That my friend is the Jedi Mind Trick, it’s very useful but it doesn’t work on all sentient beings. They head inside the Mos Espa Cantina. Everyone got in except Snoopy, C-3PO and R2-D2 because droids and dogs were not allowed. Charlie Brown: This place is owned by Jabba The Hut. And many people here have no respect. Good grief. Obi-Wan: Most of the best freighter pilots can be found here. Only watch your step. This place can be a little rough. Luke Skywalker went to the bar to have a drink, only to be bullied by two alien bullies who don’t seem to like him for no reason. Obi-Wan interferes and cuts off the arm of one of the bullies. Mos Espa Cantina is well known for its outbreaks of violence, but it’s a popular place for pilots, smugglers, bounty hunters, alien misfits and renegades. Among them are a smuggler named Han Solo and his Wookiee friend Chewbacca. Obi-Wan, Luke, Sally and Charlie Brown came to talk to them. Han Solo: Han Solo. I’m captain of the Millennium Falcon. Chewie here tells me you’re looking for passage to the Alderaan system. Obi-Wan: Yes indeed, if it’s a fast ship. Han Solo: Fast ship? You’ve never heard of the Millennium Falcon? Obi-Wan: Should I have? Han Solo: It’s the ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. Charlie Brown: Less than 12 parsecs? That’s crazy! Han Solo: But true. I’ve outrun imperial starships. Not the local bulk cruisers, mind you. I’m talking about the big Corellian ships now. Sally: Cut the nonsense Solo. Just tell us you got a fast ship. Han Solo: That’s Captain Solo to you, snot nose! And of course I have a fast ship. Sally: Snot nose!? Why you… Charlie Brown: Let it go, Sally. Han Solo: Anyways, she’s fast enough for you, old man. What’s the cargo? Obi-Wan: Only passengers. The four of us, two droids, and a beagle… and no questions asked. Han: Solo: What is it, some kind of local trouble? Obi-Wan: Let’s just say we’d like to avoid any imperial entanglements. Han Solo: Well, that’s the real trick, isn’t it? Charlie Brown: So, will you help us? Han Solo: Well, kid, it’s gonna cost you extra. Ten thousand, all in advance. Luke: Ten thousand? Sally: You have got to be kidding me! Luke: We could almost buy our own ship for that. Sally: Geez, you think? Han Solo: But who’s gonna fly it, kid? You? Luke: You bet I could. I’m not such a bad pilot, myself. We don’t have to sit here and listen… Obi-Wan: We can pay you 2,000 now. Charlie Brown and Sally: We can? Obi-Wan: Plus 15 when we reach Alderaan. Han Solo: Seventeen? Obi-Wan slowly nodded yes. Han Solo: Okay, you guys got yourselves a ship. We’ll leave as soon as you’re ready. Docking Bay 94. Han sees a stormtrooper in the area. Han Solo: Looks like somebody’s beginning to take an interest in your handiwork. Two stormtroopers come by but only Han and Chewie are there, the rest are gone. The stormtroopers continue their sweep. Han Solo: Seventeen thousand. Those guys must be desperate. This could really save my neck. Get back to the ship, get it ready. Outside, Snoopy and the droids encounter two more stormtroopers. Snoopy: Uh oh. Here comes trouble. Snoopy runs up to the stormtroopers and attacks them any way he can, while evading blaster fire from them. Stormtrooper: Why you little! Get back here you stupid mutt! Snoopy quickly dodged a blaster fire and bits the stormtrooper on the leg. Stormtrooper: Owwww! Snoopy comes in between the troopers who fire their weapons at him. But Snoopy jumps out of the way and both the troopers were shot and they collapse into the ground. A clever beagle, Snoopy is. Though wounded, both the troopers are still alive. Snoopy takes both the blasters for himself and so that the wounded stormtroopers don’t become a threat anymore. Snoopy: I’ll take these. Obi-Wan: I see you handled the stormtroopers quite well, Snoopy. Snoopy smiles and quickly nods his head. Luke: You know Charlie Brown, normal is vastly overrated. Charlie Brown: Gee, I don’t know… Obi-Wan: You’ll have to sell your speeder. Luke: That’s okay. I’m never coming back to this planet again. Sally: If it means getting off this planet, I’m in. Back inside, Han Solo is greeted by Greedo. Greedo: Going somewhere, Solo? Han Solo: Yes, Greedo. As a matter of fact, I was just going to see your boss. Tell Jabba that I’ve got his money. Greedo: It’s too late. You should have paid him when you had the chance. Jabba’s put a price on your head so large every bounty hunter in the galaxy will be looking for you. I’m lucky I found you first. Han Solo: Yeah, but this time I’ve got the money. Greedo: If you give it to me, I might forget I found you. Han Solo: I don’t have it with me. Tell Jabba… Greedo: Jabba’s through with you. He has no time for smugglers who drop their shipments at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser. Han Solo: Even I get boarded sometimes. Do you think I had a choice? Greedo: You can tell that to Jabba. He may only take your ship. Han Solo: Over my dead body. Greedo: That’s the idea. I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. Han Solo: I’ll bet you have. Greedo fires his blaster at Han but misses and Han fires his blaster at Greedo, killing him. Han Solo: Sorry about the mess. At the hangar bay is Jabba the Hutt. Jabba: Solo! Come out of there, Solo! Han: Right here, Jabba. I’ve been waiting for you. Jabba: Have you now. Han: You didn’t think I was gonna run, did you? Jabba: Han, my boy, you disappoint me. Why haven’t you paid me and why did you fry poor Greedo? Han: Jabba, next time you wanna talk to me, come see me yourself. Don’t send on of these twerps. Jabba: Han, I can’t make exceptions. What if everyone who smuggled for me dropped their cargo at the first sign of an Imperial Starship? It’s not good business. Han: Look Jabba, even I get boarded sometimes. Han walks behind Jabba and steps on him, causing him to groan. Han: You think I had a choice? But I got a nice, easy charter. I’ll pay ya back, plus a little extra. I just need a little more time. Jabba: Han, my boy, you’re the best. So, for an extra twenty percent… Han: Fifteen, Jabba. Don’t push it. Jabba: Okay, fifteen percent. But if you fail me again, I’ll put a price on your head so big you won’t be able to go near a civilized system. Han: Jabba, you’re a wonderful human being. Jabba: Come on! Jabba and his gang leave the Docking Bay 94. After Han talks to Jabba, he and Chewie get the ship ready. Everyone comes to get on board the Falcon. Sally: That’s the fastest ship? Luke: What a piece of junk. Han: She’ll make .5 past light speed. She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts, kid. Unaware that they were watched. Melody-Melody reports the stormtroopers that they are Docking Bay 94. Stormtrooper: Where are they? Melody-Melody: They’re at Docking Bay 94, they’re getting ready to take off. Hurry! Stormtrooper: Let’s go! The group is soon attacked by stormtroopers as they try to stop them from taking off. Han: Chewie, get us out of here! Woodstock works on getting the hyperdrive ready. Two Imperial Star Destroyers are on their tail. The Falcon quickly maneuvers the fires shot by the Star Destroyers. As Woodstock got finished getting the hyperdrive ready, the Falcon makes the jump to hyperspace. Meanwhile the Death Star arrives at Alderaan. On the surface, everyone panics as they see the dreaded Death Star in the sky. Knowing that the Imperials will use it to destroy the planet, Senator Heather Wold orders an evacuation of the planet. Heather: Okay everyone, listen up. All evacuation ships are ready for take off. Everyone must evacuate the planet immediately. Now let’s go! Everyone, including Heather gets on the evacuation ships and leaves the planet. But not everyone has left the planet. Senator Wold has order a planet-wide evacuation. The evacuation ships are masked, so the Imperial scanners can’t detect them. Imperial Officer: We’ve entered the Alderaan system. Stormtroopers 555-95472 and Lydia see the planet Alderaan, wondering what they are doing in the system. Rebel spy Janice has a very bad feeling about it. Leia: Governor Tarkin. I should have expected to find you holding Vader’s leash. I recognize your foul stench when I brought on board. Tarkin: Charming to the last. You don’t know how hard I found it signing the order to terminate your life. Leia: I’m surprised you had the courage to take the responsibility yourself. Tarkin: Princess Leia, before your execution, I would like you to be my guest at the ceremony that will make this battle station operational. No star system will dare oppose the Emperor now. Leia: The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers. Tarkin: Not after we demonstrate the power of this station. In a way, you have determined the choice of the planet that’ll be destroyed first. Since you are reluctant to provide us with the location of the Rebel base, I have chosen to test this station’s destructive power on your home planet of Alderaan. Leia: No. Alderaan is peaceful. We have no weapons. You can’t possibly… Tarkin: You would prefer another target? A military target? Then name the system. I grow tired of asking this, so it will be the last time. Where is the Rebel Base? Leia looks at her home world, feeling hopelessly lost but still not willing to reveal the Rebel Base. Leia: Dantooine. They’re on Dantooine. Tarkin: There. You see, Lord Vader? She can be reasonable. But Vader cannot be fooled, he knows she’s lying. Tarkin: Continue with the Operation. You may fire when ready. Leia: What? Tarkin: You’re far too trusting. Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration. But don’t worry. We will deal with your Rebel friends soon enough. Leia: No! Janice: They can’t! 5: What? Lydia: This can’t be… Death Star Engineer: Commence Primary Ignition. The Death Star’s super laser powers up and fires at Alderaan. To the horrors of Leia, Janice, Lydia, and 5, Alderaan is destroyed. Janice: No! Lydia: Oh my… 5: I never signed up for this. On the evacuation ships, Senator Wold bursts into tears as she watches her home planet being destroyed by the Death Star. Heather: I swear, the Empire will pay for this. On the hidden Rebel base at Yavin 4, the true location of the hidden base, Heather informs the rebels of Alderaan’s destruction. This breaks Sergei as that was his home, too. He tries to suppress his pain, but just can’t. Zoey: Sergei? Sergei: M-my home, gone? This can’t be happening! Zoey tries to comfort Sergei. Zoey: Sergei, don’t suppress your emotions, just let it go, give yourself some time to grieve. Sergei finally lets go of his emotions and he emotionally embraces Zoey. Zoey: It’s okay, I’m here for you. Tommy Halverson reports that 2 billion inhabitants of Alderaan have died in the disaster, with only a few survivors, including Senator Heather Wold. Heather: We watched the Death Star destroy our home planet. It was awful. Tommy: This is the darkest hour for all of us. You should get here as fast as you can, Senator. Heather: I’m on my way. With Alderaan destroyed, the entire galaxy has trembled in fear. Who can stop the Empire? To Be Continued…
