Robin Holstein, UFC, Superbowl and Con FeverRobin Holstein makes his second appearance in my Stallone Sketch Gallery. I somehow forgot that this piece had never been posted -- I got it at Heroes Con 2011 and it was one of my favorite pieces from the show.Robin Holstein, UFC, Superbowl and Con Fever5 months ago in Personal More Like This
Last night the UFC had free fights on. The prelims started on FX at 5pm and ran until 8. Then at 8 the main event was shown on FOX. It was a great night of fights. Hopefully the ratings were good and we'll see more fight cards that run on both channels.
I'm looking forward to the Super Bowl and am pulling for the 49ers since my buddy is Joe Staley's cousin.
It's about time to start thinking about booking rooms for MegaCon and Heroes. My wife must have con fever -- she asked me if I'd done it yet.
Until next weekend.
Robin Holstein and Orlando Off and OnThis week we have Robin Holstein making his first, but not last, appearance.Robin Holstein and Orlando Off and On2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I had hoped to meet up with some artist friends this weekend in Orlando. Rob Smith thought he could meet on Friday, but that didn't work for John Beatty. Then Rob's schedule changed and so we decided to postpone the meeting. I ended up working as well. The good news is I had my first Saturday off since July! The bad news is even better... there is no bad news.
We're going to try to come up with a date for a get-together in Orlando. If you're in the area and would like to join us for some food [breakfast? lunch?] and then to hang out, sketch and have some fun, let me know. I'll keep you in the loop.
Until next week...

Liked to have someone stick an umbrella where
You and I couldn't stand it -
He'd just howl and demand it
Right up his... Oh, surely you're well aware.
There once was a man Robin Hood
Who lived in a Knottingham wood
He learned how to fuck
from old Friar Tuck
And made Marion whenever he could.
There once was a man from Madras (not how you really pronounce it)
Whose balls were made out of brass.
When he'd bang 'em together
They'd play stormy weather
And lightning would shoot out of his ass.
There once was a man from Havana
Screwed a girl on a player piano
At the height of their fever
Her ass hit the lever
And Yes he has no banana...
There was a young guy from Bel Air
Who was fucking a chick on the stair.
When the bannister broke
he doubled his stroke
and finished her off in midair.
There was a young lady named Gloria,
Who was had by Sir Gerald du Mourier,
And then by six men,
Sir Gerald again,
And the band at the Waldorf Astoria.
A feller who wasn't
Fun questions :31. dish face or roman nose? why?Fun questions :36 months ago in Personal More Like This
Depends. I like dish faces and roman noses, but I don't like extreme of either kind. My horse acutally has a dish and a *slight* roman xD
2. mares or geldings? why?
It depends on the horse.
3. Do you think warmbloods are over-rated?
SOMETIMES. I like warmbloods, but not the really heavy ones. I like my light and airy. TB like.
4. Describe your dream horse.
liver chestnut thoroughbred. NOt too sensitive, but just sensitive enough. Either stallion or gelding.
5. What kind of bit do you use and why?
A wonderbit. but not a harsh one. It almost looks like a simple snaffle, but it has two extra rings on the inside for different settings. It's a 3 piece gag, and I use it because my horse is quite strong.
6. Stock horses or sport horses?
I do love my sporties (:
7. Favorite horse coloru?
Liver Chestnut. Like Allison Springer's Arthur
8. Least favorite horse colour?
I don't really have one. Roan greys? I just don't like how messy they look. or roan paints. Just
