Nicholas Allen reached for the digital voice recorder to turn it off. ‘Thank you for the interview, Dr Watkins.’
In response, Sandra mumbled a few more demotivated words to the journalist. Then she moved up the right arm to scratch her itchy skin under the soft neck brace. To no avail, since her arm was wrapped in a long arm cast, and she

Logan's Worst Week, Part 3
Three days after the freak accident on the bus that had broken and rebroken all four of his limbs, Logan relaxed on the sofa reading a Stephen King book. There was no way he was going to class today. He was sore all over, and it hurt to get around in his wheelchair, and lately it felt like every time he left the dorm he ended up in hospital. So he had decided that today he would simply remain in his dorm. That way he could rest his injured limbs, and distract himself with things that were more entertaining than classwork, and sleep if he needed to. And besides, what could possibly happen to him in his dorm? As he lay on the sofa reading Cujo - his fingers had brushed over Christine while he was choosing a book, but Logan didn't think reading about a guy with a bunch of broken bones would be very helpful when he was trying to distract himself from the pain in his own broken bones, so he had settled for the book next to it instead - Logan's eyes grew tired, and he put the book down
Ilda hobbled hurriedly on her way to work. Not that she was late; she just liked being there early. Ilda worked as a maid at the ‘Maid of Plaster’ cast-café, which was down near the waterfront. The reason she was limping was due to a severely sprained ankle, which had been treated with a light pink fibre cast with a walking heel rather than the usual bandages and crutches, as it was hard for Ilda to use them. Due to an accident when she was younger, Ilda was an amputee, missing her left arm from the middle of her upper arm. She was therefore limited to using one crutch, and she didn’t use this at all at work as she
When Raj had been in a horrific rock-climbing accident several years earlier, that left him in a full body cast with hundreds of broken bones and a damaged spinal cord, it took him a long time to come to terms with being a paraplegic. Over time he had learnt to live his new life as well as he could, and had even gotten back into extreme sports. He had been looking forward to trying adaptive snowboarding, which he had tried and enjoyed, but to his surprise, the thing he really enjoyed was sit-skiing. He had never gotten into skiing before his spinal cord injury, as he was all about the snowboarding, but sit-skiing was something else. He could get so much power into his jumps, and it was practically like flying. He was spending the weekend skiing in Canada, like he had done for many weekends since he first tried it. He was on his third run of the day, getting in lots of amazing jumps and tricks, when he took a jump a little too fast. Raj knew he was going to crash before he even hit

Living Crash Test Dummies, Part 16
My engine-driven wheelchair raced along the corridor with Jamie's. Although hers was hand-powered, she still managed to outpace me, and arrived quickly at the hospital room, which wasn't too far from my place on the same floor. Surely, she was an ace at driving all sorts of vehicles, including manual wheelchairs.
After rolling in, I stretched my fingers out to lightly tap the joystick on the control panel. My wheelchair came to a stop near the bed, right beside Jamie’s

‘Special Agent Robert Fox.’ Bob casually pushed his badge close to the man’s face. ‘And this is Agent Diana Skelly. May we speak with you, Dr Parker?’
Bob was like a hungry hound dog eager to hunt down and capture a time traveller. Lacking Bob’s tenacity, the doctor was already exhausted, although he had more caffeine than blood circulating in his veins. No wonder, the night shift seemed long and stressful, and his n
Finn skated towards Leah and Logan. Ten of them were at the skate park that day, but only the three of them were actually skating. Darcy was running a game of Werewolf, and the others were all playing that. Jem, Liam, and Waverley all still had their boards with them, but Erik, Jasper, and Kirby were all too injured to skate after a previous skating incident. Both of Erik's arms were badly broken, and in large white casts that went from his upper arms to his fingers. Both of Jasper's legs were broken, but instead of his original purple and green casts and wheelchair, he was now in slightly smaller red casts, and could hobble around on crutches. Kirby's broken right arm was still in a large green cast, and while he could technically skate since his legs were completely fine, Kirby was a sensible guy. Finn was not a sensible guy. He too was still injured from their previous skating accident, but since his broken ankle was now in a moon boot instead of a cast, and he could walk

Eren and Jean were fighting...Again.
Levi observed from a good distance without the two noticing he was watching them, a scowl on his face as he continued to watch the fight unfold, he had lost count of how many times he broke the two up from their fights and lost count of how many times he made them do stable duty as punishment, no matter what he did, they would continue their fighting, he didn't know why they would fight, sometimes it was over something so small and stupid.
He ran his fingers through his raven locks and let out a frustrated sigh, his gaze went back to the scene with his fingers still in his fringe before removing them and

The Curse of Friday the 13th, Day 2, Part 5
Friday the 13th, 2:03 p.m.
Mike Warden showed a stop sign with the palm of his hand to decline the cup of coffee that the grey-haired billionaire offered to him. Despite the impolite gesture, Adam Nilrem remained calm.
Despite the cosy atmosphere of the small café, Mike’d have preferred to be in the hospital, waiting at the door of the Cast Room to see Julie. But he had to be here to meet a man who, most probably, had something to do with the terrible event
