Teen Titans Mask Series - Raven Chapter 2
Original story idea by me. All celebrity references are fictional. I do not own Teen Titans or The Mask. —————— “Mmmm…a girl can certainly get used to this.” Standing in the middle of an intersection, the new Raven took a second to admire herself, intense energy vibrating with every small movement. As painful as she knew the transformation would be, the payoff was more than worth it. Her formal attire had been left in the dust, a much more casual and playful look to her now. Purple and black high top sneakers replaced her old heavy boots, with nothing more than a black miniskirt around her waist letting her curvy legs be shown. A purple tank top covered up an hourglass figure, a ruby gemstone hung around her neck and silver bracelets around her wrists. Her short purple hair had grown several inches and now went down past her shoulders. Bright purple plump lips bordered a smile filled with huge sparkling white teeth, nearly baseball card in size. All of that sat on a remarkable face lime green in color, her cheekbones and forehead molded like thick rubber. “Perfect.” She was simply stunning, without a worry occupying her newly opened mind. The night was not long enough for everything she wished to do. So reaching into her skirt, she somehow pulled out a list, unfurling it as it ran several hundred feet down the road. “So much to see, so little time…” BEEP!!!!!!! “Hey wicked witch! Light’s green, get your ass out of the way!!!” The man in the red sedan peeked his head out the window, frustrated scowl on his face. He was getting fed up with the strange woman’s takeover of the street, he had spent two hours extra to get his firm’s TPS reports up to specification. If no one else was going to step up, he was going to take control. He would soon wish he hadn’t. “A wicked witch, am I?” The green-headed woman looked back, her smile growing even more demented. “As you wish - attack, my pretties!!!” And from the shadows, out emerged two huge ravens, their bulbous green heads matching that of their creator’s. Twisted smiles on their beaks, they made a beeline straight for the man’s car - and he could only mutter two words. “Oh…crap.” Running from his car in terror, the man gaped in shock as the birds began to peck at his car and slowly tear it apart. In no time at all, the various pieces were left strewn about - mirrors, door handles, headlights, and more. Even the engine had been ripped out, its cylinders being eaten like they were mere seeds. He had paid 35 thousand for the vehicle, and now it was just…gone. How in the hell was he going to explain this to his insurance company? With the man out of her sight, Mask Raven was satisfied. Calling her pets back, the birds disappeared into thin air, as if they had never even existed in the first place. This power…oh, how she loved this power. But that power was of no use just standing around. Her checklist had found the perfect place for her to really show off, and time was not to be wasted. And so she left the scene, black and purple tornado heading towards the theater district as Mask Raven readied herself to be a star. Back in Titans Tower, Beast Boy stirred, awaking from what he had hoped would be a deep sleep. He could have sworn he had heard a violent wind storm, but it must have been just a dream. Besides, he was much too groggy to focus on that, he could use a cold glass of water first. Slowly opening his bedroom door, his eyes adjusted to the dim light of the hallway. He could see Robin’s room at the very end, then Starfire’s, then Raven’s door wide open- Raven’s door wide open?!?!? Something wasn’t right, and Beast Boy knew it. Of all his teammates, Raven was the only one who guarded her room like it was her life, no way would she leave it open like this. He had to see this for himself. “Guys!!! You need to get up! Something…uh, something weird has happened!” Doors slowly opening, the rest of the Titans were none too pleased at this sudden disturbance - until they got the chance to see the disturbance for themselves. Inside Raven’s room, her books and magical keepsakes had been thrown about with no care, a broken window exposing a cool ocean wind into the tower. And of course, there was not a sight of Raven to be seen anywhere. “Friend Beast Boy, what are you knowing of this sight you would call the most unusual?” “I wish I knew, Starfire. It’s like she just vanished. But why were there no alarms? Unless…” “No time for questions, team.” Robin spoke up, taking command as ever. “Five minutes, get out of your pajamas and into your gear. We’ve got a job to do.” Following his lead, the rest of the Titans hurried off, eager to hunt down whoever had taken their friend. The reality, however, had yet to hit them. At the Palace Theater, two men walked on stage to begin a performance they could practically do with their eyes closed. One of them was tall and heavy set, with narrow rimmed glasses and a red nail on one finger if someone looked close enough. The other was short with slightly curly hair, best known for his complete silence on stage. “Hello there!” The tall man’s voice boomed out. “I’m Dann Millette and this is my partner Peller! Together we are Dann & Peller, and we’ve got a fabulous show for you tonight! Let’s start off right away with-“ POOF!!!! Green smoke suddenly emerged from the center of the stage, revealing the form of a woman within. Dressed in a Victorian style purple corset and cape, she took a bow, letting the shocked audience get a good glimpse of her new rubbery green face. “Lady, get the hell off our stage!!!” “Aww Dann, do I have to?” With another poof of smoke, a violet top hat appeared on her head to complete the look. “You two think you know magic? Bet you’ve never seen me before. And when the night’s done - you’ll just be wishing that I fooled you.” ——————
