The constant worry how to improve my skills haunted me in 2020 and I struggled a lot with it. But I also learned from it and I feel like I have found the perfect middle path :3 But what do I do now? I share my methods, maybe I can help someone too :3 Accepting the thing I am bad at something God, I hated this for so freaking long. Seems like I am a perfectionist with weak mental strength and as a result I can easily be discouraged when something doesn't turn out fine and I can super easily fell into depression because of that and at the end I create drama and quit. But the good news is there is a solution for it, so if you have same issues don't feel like you are forever cursed! You are not! But you have to be a bit uncomfortable to solve this. As a first step it is time to be 100% honest with ourselves and face the facts we are not perfects and there are some skills we are bad at right now. For me, one of the things is definitely painting. • Figure out how you draw first. By this I mean, pay detailed attention to what things you gravitate to when drawing. Like, do you have a tendency to draw very detailed eyes? Do you like to draw round small bodies? That kind of stuff. Keep track of what you are good at and what you need to work on. Your strengths and weaknesses as an artist are what you need to be aware of because they are things that only you will truly know unless you tell the world. For example if you draw very detailed heads but struggle with the rest of the body, maybe a type of cartoon style is best for you and not anime.
