Well this was a great start to what was supposed to be a fine convention. And by great that of course was to be taken with a heavy pinch of sarcasm. With all the preparation in the world that could have happened, of course there was one thing that Sari couldn’t have foreseen. Maybe she could have since that was a risk that she took, but even so she never thought that this would actually have happened. The costume that she had had shipped through a (pricey) courier had decided that it didn’t need to get to the hotel on time. So when she checked in and asked if anything had been sent to the hotel ahead of her, imagine the college student’s irritation to find that not only had nothing been delivered but when she checked her tracking code on her phone it looked as if the costume had made it to a destination. Hayden was sure that something was off with this mask he had sitting on his desk. It wasn’t an impulse purchase as one might have thought, but rather there was a specific reason for it.
